Thunderlane has to stand watch as an experimental lightning storm is being tried out on the weather factory's test range, but he would far rather be watching the buckball playoffs instead.
Suddenly he sees two pegasi in difficulty as they try to outrun the storm, and goes to help out.

Cloud Kicker was a last minute choice – I was trying to think of a pegasus mare to cast opposite Thunderlane who had a filly as a close relative, and found her with Princess Erroria in Sisterhooves Social and Brotherhooves Social.
I’m pleased with the way it worked out and was left wondering why I hadn’t written about her before. In fact, I'll probably dust her off again for another story sometime.
