Another nice Story of Yours! Great Work!

Lots of feels with this one. It is so true how you can plan and strive all you want towards that 'perfect future' but it often never goes as you would have planned.

I thought I'd always have a wife to share my life with. However she no longer loves me in that way and now I split time with her with our son. There are times I feel I failed my son as all he ever wanted was to not be caught between two parents. all he really ever wanted was a mom and dad under the same roof. Now this is gone and never to return.

I feel a lot of people can read this tale of Steller Flare and personalize it based on how their lives have been. I wish I was less emotional but I give my feelings away far too easily. I also struggle in parenting as, being totally blind, I don't know when my son is blowing me off or just tired. There's also how he has bloomed into an artist and I've never been able to physically see any of his work. There is also how he has to 'lead me' to places and/or serve as my eyes when we go out together. He also does not like the way people look at me when we're out and about.

The above is why I do not wish blindness on anyone with the short exception of maybe a day to genuinely see what it is like to be in someone, like myself, shoes'. I'm a regular fellow but am blind. However it often seems I'm seen as blind before being recognized as a person.

I struggle to ensure a better future for all with special needs / limitations. I also do this struggle to show my son that his father can be knocked down over-and-over again but will always get back up. Set the good example and fight through all the pain. Show him he can have a great future despite the circumstances that are out of his control.

So, again, a great story that definitely tugged my heartstrings. Your writing is always wonderful, Ms. rarity.

Definitely fits Stellar Flare's character. You can tell in The Parent Map that she loves her son deeply, even if she doesn't always show it in the best way.

Great story but you should probably put an Alt Universe tag as well cause if I recall. In Starlight's flashback, Sunburst still had both parents.
