Black Lives Matter, this isn't hard

E

Three ponies sit together in a room. Two are innocent. Each of the two innocents have two possible suspects, including one another. The third must pretend to be in the same predicament. Eeeeyup.

Listen. I've got several drafts of different fics that I've been picking at, off and on. One night I decided to start on this one because I didn't want to deal with anything complicated or high-pressure that night, and the whole thing fell together in like half an hour--easiest work of fiction I've ever written. This fic was dictated to me by the gods and I don't feel I had a right to not post it.

That was not a judgemental "Eeeeyup," just to be clear. That was an expression straight from the mouth of everyone's favorite zen master big brother, noting that the universe is well and all things as they should be.

And that includes fart joke fics.

Good to see you ^_^

I still think you're questioning the gods but whatever, is this site dead? I've been meaning to ask someone. I'm using it either way, of course, but I want to know if I should set up an account somewhere else, and download my favorites while they're still available.

Dude it's my job to question the gods, but fanfic authors get a pass.

No idea about the site. I think our wave has mostly come and gone, but there are still worthwhile moments here so I stick around.

Mainly in a creative rut myself, have a few non-fanfic pots on the stove but nothing's really boiling right now. You?

I might be back. I've got a few drafts in a folder here, one of which I've obviously posted. I want to try a few short stories so I can get better at endings before I do the long one I'm sitting on, but the long one seems to be the one I come back to every night. The problem with that is that I have no intention of posting any of the long one until I've finished it, because making mistakes when you're doing serial publishing is incredibly annoying.

I note you haven't posted another chapter in a while. Is that what you mean by being in a rut?

I keep trying to do other things but that one keeps hammering its way back into my skull. Not even really sure why other than I love an appropriate ending, and that story has one. I have a bunch done, honestly. I'm just avoiding the middle-act intricate plotting I need to do in order for the final act to have the impact I want it to. Lazy. Just been looking for a kick in the pants I suppose.
