E

Cozy Glow and Princess Celestia have a history together. One that no pony could ever imagine.

This is a backstory I decided to make for Cozy Glow, since we never got to know anything about her past. I'm planning on using this backstory in another fan fiction I'm going to write called "The Ending of The End Part 3" because I want to make a version where the villains reform.

Reminder: For those of you who have already read the story, this wasn't created to write Celestia dirty, and it wasn't to give her bad writing. It was mainly focused on giving Cozy a motivation for her evil actions. So if you don't like it because of the writing for Celestia, please don't berate me about it in any way.

Now that’s a back story! Betrayal from good and good creating evil. You are a creative genius

Wow apparently Celestia hasn't learned from past mistakes she made with Luna and Sunset, nor has she heard of self-fulfilling prophecy. Anyway you really have my interest here and i'm eager for more.

Any chance of going into canon and diverging a bit with Cozy Glow's backstory being learned by others?

What do you mean by going into canon and diverging with Cozy's backstory being learned by others?

9902858
Oh I meant going into the events of the series or if you'd prefer after it. Where with the former it's changed because of someone whether one of the mane 6, Discord, Tirek, Chrysalis, etc anyone really learning about Cozy Glow ties to Celestia.

It occurs to me one route that could be taken for the revelation of the truth is Sunset Shimmer if she's already gone through the mirror, wasn't affected by Celestia's spell. So would know about Cozy Glow and if Twilight keeping in touch with Sunset informs her about her well it leads to several certain revelations and questions being brought up.

9902923
Like I said in the description, I'm planning on using this story in another fanfic I'm going to write called "The Ending of The End Part 3", where the villains reform, so the mane 6 and everyone else are going to find out Cozy Glow's and the other villains backstories eventually.

9903386
OH! My bad think I accidentally skipped over that part or something, but really awesome to hear that's for sure.

Don't you just LOVE self-fulfilling prophecies? THIS is WHY I almost always end up rooting and cheering on the villains.
Most of the time if you were to ACTUALLY find the REAL backstory of the villains, you usually find out that the Good guy/Bad guy, light/evil is actually reverse to what you are lead to believe.

Hearkening back to when I first read Past Sins, death to tia

9912449
You know what they say. A villain is a hero of the other side

9912647
Anti-hero at best most of the time

Two chapters left, then I will start working on "Ending of the End, part 3"

By reading this story, there is only one truth; the Magic of Harmony is a bitch and Celestia turned her daughter into a villain because of her cowardness to anything bad happen to her ponies and Equestria

9930382
I wouldn't say the Magic of Harmony was a bitch, it was the pony who used it against Cozy who was. Cozy's heart was pained by magic because Celestia used it against her. The element itself never intended itself to do anything to her.
But you are right, Celestia is a coward.

9930464
The reason I said The Magic of Harmony is a bitch; is those who want peace and happiness are corrupted by Harmony. Who’s to say Friendship can’t create monsters?

9930475
If that's the case, I agree. If you think about it, almost every villain is evil because of how friendship might've hurted them in the past

9930487
Yep.
Tirek: Scorpan betray him for friendship after they agree to absorb Equestria Magic.
Chrysalis: Thorax betray her for friendship for a better life, along with the entire hive. Unsure if Friendship with ponies or once love by a pony betray her.
Sombra: Being a creature of darkness in a kingdom of light, who's to say if the Crystal Ponies didn't continuedly made him hate them for being different.

This story makes a lot of sense. In my head, this is canon.

9933160
It's canon in mine as well😊

The dark turnabout of betrayal is reaching its end

Okay, the colors are worryingly close, and it's not like Celestia hadn't canonically screwed up a promising but amoral filly by mothering her with an "s" on the front...

9944891
I mean that the story premise makes way more sense than it probably should. Oh, and the part after the comma was alluding to Sunset while also making the same basic pun as "my beloved smother"

A dark ending for a story about a mother betrayed her own child, a perfect ending but sad to see it ended

9946141
I'm now writing a sequel "Ending of the End, Part 3". You can see what happens next there.

Awesome story all around can't wait to read the sequel when it's out.:pinkiehappy:

Buck you Celestia....BUCK YOU

Tell me when Sequel is out...and Cele-Bitch gets what she deserves

9972226
It should be out from tomorrow to the end of the week.

when the sequel coming out? I can't wait to read it:pinkiehappy:

This script is really amazing, do you mind if I use it in the sequel? I can credit you in 'author's note'. But if you say no, I understand

9990530
its okay to use it: it's less of a full script and more like individual lines with context behind why Cozy is saying this. I can even come up with a few more if you're game for some more heartbreaking emotional turmoil...

Felt like posting this because Cozy Glows' situation here reminded me so much of... him.

"All beings begin their lives with hopes and aspirations... among these aspirations is the desire that there will be a straight path to those goals. It is seldom so, perhaps never... Sometimes the turns are of ones' own volition, as ones thoughts and goals change over time. But more often, the turns are mandated by outside forces… It was so with me... The memory is vivid; unsullied by age. The Five Admirals rising from their chairs, as I am escorted into the chamber. The decision of the Ascendancy has been made, and they are here to deliver it. None of them are happy with the decision: I can read that in their faces. But they are Officers and Servants of the Chiss, and they will carry out their orders. Protocol alone demands that... The word is as I expected: Exile... The planet has already been chosen, The Aristocra will assemble the equipment necessary to ensure that Solitude does not quickly become death from predators, or the elements... I am led away. Once again my path has turned... where it will lead: I cannot say…"

9989866
The fact that Everypony that she knew and called her friends can only see right through her, that she can no longer feel the love of her family all together again that she had waited for 4 years of her life. Oh a reckoning will surely come, and the Harmony that spreads throughout Ponies and break them into Song; shall now serenade for Princess Cozy Glow, "The Light of Lights" as she exacts her vengeance on "The Animal" that was responsible for killing Cozys' mother and killing Princess Celestia, for continually torturing Twilight Sparkle, and for causing "Seven Years of Tambelon" for all of Equestria.

Decided to read this after reading the other story.
Was about to wait till the end to comment but I feel like wanting to comment now.

Seems a bit awkward with Cozy being THAT powerful in a way(I don't know, haven't found the words) but kind of weird how Celestia was able to use the Elements even though she supposedly lost the ability to use them after using them against her sisters.(I am pretty sure they lost their connection because of that instead of the Elements finding new bearers). Along with its weird how the Elements were just stone balls but Celestia just seemingly summons them with ease and then puts them back as that stone form afterwards.

Anyway, seeing all of this makes me want to just kick Celestia all the way to the moon.
Honestly I am having a angst thought of Luna just snapping at Celestia upon discovering this and she just loses it big time(especially after what happened in the other story). Really, I often get angst thoughts of stuff and right now I am just imagining Luna just snaps at Celestia big time and all that angst.

Sorry if this comment and the one in the other story being just weird/iffy by the way..

Well, Cozy having such a high skill in magic is more of a gift than learned. The eclipse is what gave her such immense power, otherwise she'd have the power of a normal alicorn. Also, The reason why Celestia can still wield the Elements is cause they haven't found new bearers yet. Remember, this is two days before the Mane 6 became the new bearers, two days before the summer sun celebration, so this was the last time Celestia could use them.

10082547
I could have sworn it was the sisters lost the ability to use the Elements due to the NMM mess 1000 years ago.
Or otherwise Celestia wouldn't have gone through the trouble of finding new bearers and could have continue using them to protect Equestria and try to free her sister from darkness. Just seems awkward that the sisters ability to use them weren't lose on accident but technically on purpose with Celestia finding new bearers like that. Since the sisters lost the ability to use the Elements, that's basically it for them. Pretty much show the show has it so the sisters aren't allowed to directly help save the day (No, distracting the trio doesn't count as that) since they aren't element bearers anymore. That's one of the huge problems the show has for them. The sisters weren't even included in the final rainbow laser even though they wielded the elements before and their cutie marks were on the tree, apparently it means nothing since the sisters lost their connection to the Elements. They get NOTHING..

Sorry about the comment turning into a rant when I brought up an issue the show has..

Two Days before the New Bearers could be chosen...
Two Days before the Forgotten and the Lost would trade isolation...
Two Days before The Sun Tyrant received HER OWN punishment...

Just as Celestia set the Elements to lash out against her family as such, so too did the Elements sense the pattern of abuse of strength that dwelt within Celestia, her heart filled with anguish and paranoia was she eternally-struck with a curse by the Elements for driving away her family for the sake of Equestria above all else: forsaking her connections to those that should matter most in her heart for the throngs that worshipped the ground she had walked upon... even when her own sister was taken away from her did she not learn her lesson of humility, painting that her sister needed to be punished above all else, when it was also Celestia that needed to understand that her own arrogance led her sister to such extremes.

And now, that same pride she had always carried is what stole away her only child; Her Light of Lights that tried to speak with Reason and Meter with Celestia, Cozy Glow who had connected with the common people in ways that Celestia herself had failed to accomplish, a daughter who had perspective and insight due to choosing to listen to the smaller concerns foremost that mattered.

Unless she speaks the truth and beg for forgiveness from the family she wrongfully punished and drove away; and they in-turn accept her apology: than no matter how strong or powerful she is, no matter how hard she tries to fight: every single time at the crucial moment, the Element's curse that has been placed upon Princess Celestia which has taken away her Warrior Spirit now dooms the Sun Princess to ultimately FAIL in whatever capacity it is she is trying to utilize on her own in protecting Equestria, what she viewed as being more valuable to herself than her own family...

It determined the outcome with Queen Chrysalis in the First Battle of Canterlot...

It dulled her senses to the dangers of the Plunder Vines when they encroached upon her domain...

She was forgetful when it came to Tirek and Discords' alliance that she failed to consider that even if she, Luna and Cadence gave up their magic to send Twilight into hiding: Discord would simply tell Tirek of Twilights' existence: Making their sacrifice entirely moot (A point that I believe Cozy Glow would not even be above calling her mom out on when it comes to "Protecting Equestria")

Celestia was caught unawares and flat-hoofed when the Changelings returned (Cozy would also gladly point out how her Moms' "Quietly Hoping That You Just Go Away Forever" Mentality is ultimately what led to so many needless battles with the threats of recent years)

And without her warrior spirit; Celestia was left unable to put up any form of resistance or to fight back against Tempest Shadows' Invasion during the Second Battle of Canterlot.

This actually gives Celestia more of an explanation why we never got a chance to even see her do anything in the show: because the Elements had doomed her to always fail in battles or engagements as a means of trying to instill humility into Celestia and to turn her own desires and goals back against her in a bid to try and force Celestia to both apologize and confess the truth.

"She died in her real life, and that's all that the Director remembered of her. So now, no matter how tough she is, no matter how hard she fights, she is ALWAYS going to fail: because THAT'S what she's based on. No matter what she's doing, or what she's trying to accomplish, just when her goal was within her reach: it gets yanked away. Every. Single. Time. Can you imagine what that's like?!" -Epsilon-Church to Washington on Texs' nature, Red vs. Blue: Revelation Episode 19

"If Cozy Glow continues on her current path, the light in Equestria and beyond will stay as bright as ever. But if her heart is pained by magic, her happiness will turn to rage, and all of Equestria will crumble."

This is the prophecy. It makes it clear that Cozy needs to continue on her current path to avoid disaster. Your Celestia is an absolute moron even from the most pragmatic perspective possible. Interesting backstory though.

I'm just finding it kinda weird how every pony in Equestria sees her as a kind, benevolent and caring princess, which may be true in some cases, but she was willing to banish her sister to the moon and she never did anything when The Mane 6 saved Equestria. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I kind of wanted to have a point of view where Celestia is cruel, which would be in Cozy's point of view, which will lead to other ponies finding out what she really is. Her cruelty is kinda the point of the story.
