Nice. I usually prefer for a human character to have things in common with the pony character they fall in love with (in this case, Twilight) instead of it happening just because it's a romance story with them. This story does that.

It was my idea that the human character being a scholar, even if in the regard of archaeology and history made him similar to Twilight Sparkle, who is a scholar in other aspects. Also the fact that both of them have shared interests in the pursuit of knowledge is another thing that sticks out to me personally (but then again, I am the author, so I am bound to have bias). However, if this is not clearly illustrated, then I apologize and will keep that in mind for future stories.
