So far so good.
Not sure what the speed/pace of the story will be, but I wanted to mention that if you want to balance out how the story goes you might want to make some or most of the sentences into paragraphs. Not trying to be harsh in critiquing, but I think the chapter went by a little fast, as well as progression. some paragraphs can be used to make the reading digestion more tolerable (world building, character development, etc) to the audience.
Just an honest tip/information for heads up.
