Love is in bloom in Ponyville, and the brides are Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Having known each other from growing up, their friendship had turned into something more, and now that bond would blossom, with each Pegasus reflecting on the most admirable traits of her bride. They're moving forward, and they're doing it together.

I'm glad to have stumbled upon it. I'm always a sucker for a good FlutterDash wedding story. They're such a (if you'll pardon the phrase) rarity. You did well incorporating all the characters throughout the series (though I couldn't help but notice a certain pair of unicorns who have also known each other since foalhood, unless I missed something). I also have to say, I'm glad you made Discord a FlutterDash supporter, I like that portrayal of him. And finally, nice touch with Flutters being the one to propose. In the few FlutterDash wedding stories I've seen, only one has shown Shy being the one to pop the question, and that one was a bit dark

Glad you liked the comment. I'm just bummed out that I didn't know this story was out there for over a year before I found it. Then again, I'm a bit glad I didn't discover it before the series ended. I'm sure you've heard of the implications that sprouted due to certain scenes and dialogue in the last episode. Of course, I also find it interesting that you posted this story at least a couple months before another couple tied the knot in canon.
If you ever decide to do a prequel involving Fluttershy's proposal, hopefully it'll show her having a better time at it than Big Mac did!

Geeze, why can't Ponyville ever be attacked by something minor, like a yak with a pebble in their shoe? Or would it be heresey for a yak to wear a shoe?
Tell me, out of curiosity, is there anything you wanted to put in here, but thought the better of? Or, maybe there was something else you had drafted, but changed at some point? Stories that focus on celebrations have a lot of potential, and I just have to imagine there were more ideas that crossed your mind, even if only briefly.

It's been a while, so my memory of what was going through my mind was a little hazy. Honestly, the point of this was to put together a feel-good love story about two friends who, over the course of their lives, became something much more. I remember having some ideas that I ended up not going with because it would have felt a little too hand-fisted and would have ultimately come out a bit disjointed. Now I guess it's more flat than fluffy.
