Jennifer Cassidy Penndragon (she/they)

T

Ponyville is covered in complete darkness. Everyone is gone except for Twilight, Starlight, and Trixie. Together, the two ponies search for answers as they walk into the black.

An atmospheric horror and suspense story. I wrote the first half of this a year ago and decided to finish it on a whim. Based on a dream I had, pretty much beat for beat.

Just a friendly corrective point-out...

Everyone is gone except for Twilight, Starlight, and Trixie. Together, the two ponies search for answers as they walk into the black.

I was about to point that out, with the addendum that, while I've not read the story yet, so it's just a guess, if it turns out there's some twist where one of them is a monster or something . . . maybe smart to not basically advertise that fact in the description.

Commenting just on the summery... you might want to count the names of the ponies again
You say 2, but there are actually 3

Was Starlight really a pony however? I feel that the summary was correct, only Trixie and Twilight were ponies trapped in that hellish replica of Ponyville.

Well, I see certain pony on the cover, so I guess that could be some kind of clue.:derpytongue2:

Goddammit, Cobb. I thought you were better than that.

Starlight had a blank expression on her face. She watched Twilight for a moment, then grew a little smile herself. "I'm so glad to see you!" she said without missing a beat.

You'd think she'd see something off here. I would.

Well there goes the princess of friendship, great now we gotta replace her butt! Now accepting application's.

I'll admit, I'm fully confused about the ending. The story as a whole was pretty good and entertaining, though.

I uh. I don't understand what's going on at the end.

Seeing Twilight and Trixie embrace eachother was really nice to see. Really hope to get an another chapter!

Really feel like this story shot itself in the foot by going too extreme into "We won't tell the reader anything!" There's such little context and explanation that it's impossible for the imagination to fill anything in, since it's just so random and nonsensical.

After viewing preview picture and preview text about TWO ponies I immediately became suspicious about future Starlight's appearance...

I liked this story.
.. except abrupt ending. T-T It has a great potential for bigger story.

I admit, this story is pretty confusing. At first, I thought it went with the "ponies exist only in the show and when it's over their lives are also over" route, but this doesn't seem the case. While at the end we can assume that humans captured(?) Twilight and Trixie, it's never explained why Starlight acts the way she does and what exactly is the purpose of this.
