Actually Numi's mom originally lived in his active regions. it's set at roughly the same time as the latest numbered Bridge chapter. So it's not 'the far future'.
As for Numi's original parents...you'll see...and we might even get a peak at her ancestors eventually.
What was Xenilla doing in his brief scene? Man, before he turned around, Neighsay was a jerk. Dang, how did that blind Diamond Dog get there? At least they are meeting the royals and Xenilla soon.

Xenila's scene was removed to re-use him in the next chapter, and all of this will be revealed in said chapter. patience, lad, patience.
