So far so good, you've got a good voice for Sunset's character here, ambitious, headstrong, and belligerent. It reminds me a bit of Long Road to Friendship's depiction of Sunset.

My leading question when I write a backstory for Sunset is always: For what purpose did Sunset desire power?
And subsequently: What kind of life led to her developing such an obsessive need to obtain that power?

How much "reformed" is Sunset though ? I hope it isn't the "self loathing spineless emotional punching ball of the school" version, too many stories does it.
IMO, stories where she keep her steel are far better.
I am also sad than it didn't go the "Celestia is Sunset mother figure" way.
Something i just imagine, but, demons are living magic being from a other dimension, and sunset can use those devil arms, then what if someone of Equus with high or at least decent level of magic (IE not "useless civil 404") became a devil arm when beaten, or at least Sunset can do this alongside doing it toward normal demons due to her equestrian heritage.
Because while they do not fit the Christian idea of demons (at least not all) a lot of beings from Equestria could count in this definition, even more from non christian tales, and this not mentionning the wicked ones.
Oh my, i just imagined it, but Sunset beat the Dazzlings and turn them into devil arms, but because she find this too cruel, she propose them a situation similar to what is in "Soul Eater", they serve as her weapons during battle, but otherwise are free.
And if not as weapons, they serve as her personal musical theme singers.
The Dazzlings singing Devil trigger while Sunset kick asses is dope, sue me.

Using your ennemies to reinforce your power is literally a mechanic of DMC, so it's legit as far as i understand it.
And them being forced to have Sunset as their boss is the most sweet vengeance.

Well without taking too much away, her guilt and angst is mostly towards her parents cause she recognises now how much her actions must've hurt them. Towards CHS she keeps a more cocky attitude, on the basis that the whole lot of them were too cowardly to stand up to her before the Formal, so what are they doing trying to act tough now, when the actual danger has come and gone already. This is her response to the first person trying to give her shit after the Formal:
Sunset: "Pfft! Don't act like you've got the nerve to stand up to me now. Three days ago none of you even dared to look at me funny. Fluttershy, fucking Fluttershy, has more guts than any of you will ever possess. So pack up those shriveled up raisins you have for balls and piss off!"
As for Celestia, well, I make her Sunset's mother/mother figure so much in all the other I have planned but not written yet, I felt like doing something different and work in a way for Sunset to end up the way she is despite a stable homelife with loving parents.
And I do have some plans for the Dazzlings after their defeat, as well powerups for Sunset from bossfights and some Devil Arms as well.

For the latest, it's not sure, after all, power hungry persons doesn't tend to like each other.
Sorry to ask so much questions, it is because i am genuinely afraid than this story continue it's hiatus, which is a terrifying thought for me since i am in need of new story like this , both for wait for the usual ones and because i had recently became a fan of DMC, and asking questions is both a good way to (obviously) clear my confusion on something, but to start a debate which, in case the author hadn't update for a while, might interest them again in writing the story thanks to having a good discussion about it and seeing new possibilities (thus inspiring the author).

The latest part seem odd since neither was updated in more than two years.
Although i really don't understand why neither was update, you seem to have thought a lot about it, and while the difficulty of making a choice might make producing content more hard, it's seem odd than no other chapter would had been post.
What do you think about using the dazzlings with the powers and role post defeat i had proposed ? Also, the situation being more like that of the characters in "Soul Eater" make it something different enough from DMC to be original.
I have a mixed opinion about DMC characters being there.
Edit :rectification, since this story wasn't updated in more than two years, the other is one year and ten months.

My problem is I get constantly distracted by new story ideas and have trouble returning to the old ones. I've got unpublished first chapters to fics that haven't gone anywhere yet, lots of worldbuilding and plot outlines for stories I haven't even started writing, short snippets of scenes and characters I don't know what to do with and new stuff just keeps piling on and getting buried under the next one.
Probably not gonna do that. Like I said, I already know how I want things to go with the Dazzlings and the way Sunset aquires her Devil Arms.
You really should consider using all this stuff to start up your own story. That's how I got my start, with making the Anon-A-Miss fic I wanted to read but no one had written yet.
