Rainbow is sent to fill in for an instructor at the Wonderbolts Academy by Spitfire whilst the team handles a dull and uninteresting tour abroad.
After meeting the small team of promising recruits, Rainbow begins to worry that her position is a little more permanent than originally advertised! The only course of action is to hatch a plan or two to get out of it... and hopefully teach the recruits something along the way.

I enjoyed reading this story; liked Dashie's idea of 'being a bad teacher' so as not to be retired and selected as an instructor; not wanting to let go of being an active flyer. Lovable Dashie thinking! Jumping to the wrong conclusions! Even when she tries to mess up, it all goes right in the wrong direction for her.
9696234 Yeah, I tried to take a lot of cues from Newbie Dash, Tanks for the Memories, and Rainbow Falls for this one (since the point was imitating an episode, I figured looking at what episodes of mlp had done would be a good place to start).

Im cackling, this was sooo good!!! Every scene was hilarious and Rainbow's characterization was great! I was kind of expecting there to be some secons hand embarrasment at one point but it never went there and that makes me happy!
