To answer your questions, yes the human members made it back except Sunset, Adagio, Aria, and Sonata. As to why re read Adagio's warning to Celestia. Discord could do as you pointed out, but a creature born of chaos can understand the long game of Adagio's warning. He is constantly trying to set things up and minimize his guilt, and if he were to re-establish connection, and the warning come to pass he would be a major guilty party.
