Silverstream has had a not so secret desire to join the Wonderbolts ever since hearing Professor Rainbow Dash gush about them in class. And the young hippogriff doesn't see any requirements beyond being a good flyer.
However, she soon discovers that getting into the Wonderbolts is anything but easy. To even be considered by them she has to prove herself in a race.
Her opponent is Flash Magnus, who's been training the new cadets of the Wonderbolts and is eager to show off his skills with the next generation. Does Silverstream have a chance against the legendary pillar of bravery? Or are her chances about to come crashing down?

I share your headcanon that Wonderbolt standard practice is "you fly good and you're good" but double down and say that it's been noticed and used long before Silverstream did because of Gilda's role in Rainbow Dash's foalhood, and the implications thereof.
I totally enjoyed reading this story; loved they way you got Silverstream's persona down. Having Flash Magus showing up for her to race against and lose to was a nice surprise, I first thought she was going to have to race against Rainbow Dash or one of the other Wonderbolts. Liked reading another writer's take on this story idea; very inspiring. Two thumbs up for this short story.

You had to admit silverstream give all she got just to out speed flash Magnus I mean that's impressive even though she lost she can still find a way to improve herself that she can be the Wonderbolts
