When an unconscious "brony" is found in Equestria, he is bought to the Royal Castle by Princess Twilight Sparkle. When he wakes up, he is surprised to see three of the "characters" of one of his favorite cartoons in front of him.
But when offered the chance to ask questions, he takes it and asks the trio questions. A lot of questions. None are how to get back to his world but instead are mainly about their "questionable" moments.
He may be surprised about what he'll get for asking those questions...

Really liked how the mc was written. Right up to the last third of the fic. Was enjoying the mc tear into them with questions, and then mood shifted and it went silly. Went from good to meh for me. Still a nice fic tho.

Skip ahead to 1:49. I tried to get it to start there, but it wasn't co-operating.
That bit with the train pretty much sums up my opinion: It was a train that wasn't stopping....then you find out that this isn't going to be as dramatic(ally silly) as you thought it was, and then the plot caught fire and I stutter and just accept that this is reality.
It was mostly enjoyable to read, though.

I thought about it, but without knowing what was truly the deal with Cozy Glow, I left her out. For all I knew at the time I wrote this, she might not have been a filly but something else.
If there really were more to Cozy, I would have felt and looked stupid by bringing it up, even though I was really just poking fun about the not-so-great moments of Twilight, Celestia, and Luna.

I kinda feel bad—everyone is praising this story but I dislike it. These aren't questions: questioning requires the chance to answer. He's simply ranting, berating them without letting them respond to anything. Ok, sure, he thinks this is all a hallucination, but, if he believes he's indulging his mind, why doesn't he let his mind fathom a response?
I was definitely pulled in at first, because I've had a few cases of "wait is this a dream?" and... Well, unfortunately for me, I've been able to pass the pinch test inside a dream, so I immediately thought "oh shit this could be me!"... And then you cemented it by the name you gave the character. I almost never let people use it now, but I used to go by the name 'Danny'. (I mean, for real, out in the nonvirtual world)
So, in the context of the story, was this a dream? The seduction that comes later certainly was jarring, but perfectly sequitur using dream logic.

most of the questions like why didn't pinkie pie, applejack, rainbow dash, rarity and fluttershy didn't get wings or twilight being powerful as a unicorn than an alicorn really intrigued me and always wanted myself to hear these from people!

This question is invalid based on the fact that these were perfect clones Pinkie made of herself with the power of magic water, not some changelings that just checked her out and played professional dress-up. Anything Pinkie knew, they also knew, so there was no single question Twilight could ask that would single out the real one.
As for her chosen action, Twilight was looking for distracted Pinkies, not just ones that looked away from the wall, so a simple sneeze would not have caused Twilight to banish them unless it was out of accidental reflex.
I had a similar idea once when trying to come up with an explanation for how our reality could exist alongside all these fictional ones. Noice.
This was a fun read, even if it would have been nice to hear more responses from the princesses! XD

Interestingly enough, the idea I used in my HiE stories with my main human OC Eric Reed uses more or less uses this idea too, but it was less meta, so the ponies didn't know who M.A. Larson is.
Not quite, since the first Pinkie clone couldn't get Fluttershy's and Applejack's names right, though how much the Pinkie clones knew is more or less unknown. It might have just been names that they couldn't remember, or it could have been more stuff too, like the names of cities. In the words of a famous tootsie roll commercial: "The world may never know".
In any rate, glad you enjoyed the story!

While this is true, and thus makes for a good point, it implies that Twilight would have to ask MANY questions to each and every Pinkie to find the real one, and there would still be no guarantee she got the right one since Pinkie could easily just forget an answer and end up banished for it.
Now, it is true that Twilight's chosen plan may still have failed, since we can see a second Pinkie disguised in the background of a later episode, but I still think her method of determining the original was potentially the most reliable one that wouldn't have involved an overcomplicated risky spell...though knowing her, she could have made such a spell work, so I have to wonder why this was the one time she didn't just invent new magic. XD

Amazing work, Danny thinks he is dreaming but then doesn't accept the new reality and just overshoots several lines and then knows that it's too late to turn back and have his dream fulfilled
if i were there my first question would be if i am dreaming, in a coma or anything similar. If they tell me that this is real then i were to tell them that i want to stay lol, and THEN hit the questions to them
