Chapter 1 - Trunks, the Presser of Wrong Buttons

"Promise you won't tell them Goku, or I might not be born!"

"Hey, not a problem."

Trunks took a step back from Goku as he realized it was time for him to go back to his time, "Well look, I better be off. My mom's worried sick about me. She needs to know that everything went okay."

"Yeah, please tell her that I send my love," Goku then tosses the capsule that contains the medicine for his upcoming heart virus into the air momentarily before catching it in his hand again, "And thanks for this, you're great!"

Trunks turned around, "Hey, you've helped me in a lot of ways, I should be thanking you."

"So is this goodbye?"

"For now, I'll be back in 3 years time."

Goku nods his head, "Okay, 3 years time."

"See ya then," With that, Trunks sets into the sky and flies off to a place that cannot be seen by Goku's friends and pulls out the capsule that contained his time machine. He pressed the top and tossed it to the ground. The capsule explodes into large poof of smoke. The smoke quickly clears to reveal the large time machine that his mother had made for him. He opens the lid and hops in. After he finishes the engine check up to make sure nothing has malfunctioned, he closes the lid and punches in a time 20 years in the future. The machine hums to life as it lifts off the ground and into the air. As he lifts into the air, he sees the Z warriors and gives them all a wave goodbye. He flies a little higher into the air and suddenly vanishes from view as he is sent forward in time.

Trunks has seen this view before but still cannot get over how fascinating it looks, the colors are flying by at amazing speeds creating an awesome and vibrant display of lights. Trunks almost felt like getting out and studying it, but that would most likely have very negative consequences. Trunks lied his head back and waited for the machine to stop at his time period so her can tell her mother the good news. But something was slightly disturbing him, a small buzzing noise. He looked around in the time machine to see what the cause of this annoying sound was. He looked down at the dashboard and saw a small fly. Trunks figured the fly must have flown in while he was checking on the engine. He reared his hand back and swatted at the fly. The fly immediately reacted and flew off the dashboard and began to fly all around Trunks' head.

The fly had just become about twenty percent more aggravating and Trunks was starting to get annoyed. He tried swatting it again but still for some reason, he could not hit the small flying bug.

"I can become a Super Saiyan, defeat Frieza, King Cold, and all of their men. And yet I can't swat a single fly," Trunks muttered under his breath.

The fly landed on the dashboard again, this time Trunks was determined to beat the fly, he reared his hand back and swung it forward. Again the fly had won, but this time, unfortunately, it was on a button with the words "Release" on it. It took a few moments for Trunks' brain to register what button he just pushed, but before he could fully realize it, the glass dome around the time machine began to open up.

"Uhhh...." Was the only thing Trunks could get out of his mouth as he watched his time machine open up and revealing Trunks to what was going on outside of the time machine. Trunks was engulfed in white and rainbows at the same time as him and his time machine's molecular structure were disassembled and cast out into the colored void.

Rainbow Dash knew how important this was, she could literally feel it in her bones how important this was. But she knew she couldn't last much longer, not even somepony like her could could last this long.

"Y'all ready tah give up?"

"N-never!"

"Really? Ah can see yah startin' tah sweat."

Rainbow Dash couldn't hold on much longer, she knew she was beaten.

*BLINK*

"NOO!"

Rainbow Dash had lost the staring contest.

"Ah knew y'all couldn't beat me in a starin' contest, Dash," Bragged her orange cowpony friend, Applejack.

"Oh yeah, well I say you cheated!" Rainbow returned.

"How can yah cheat at a starin' con-" Applejack was then cut off as a small booming noise and a small shake came from way outside.

"What was that?" Asked the purple book loving mare, Twilight Sparkle.

"Ah dunno."

"It sounded like it came from the Everfree Forest." Twilight supposed. Sometimes, Twilight amazes even herself with her knowledge.

Rainbow turned to her friends, "Do you think we should check it out?"

Applejack chuckles a little, "Oh Rainbow, always the one who wants tah get to the action first."

"Yeah, you got a problem with that, cowpony?" Rainbow says right in Applejack's face while slightly hovering in mid-air. Applejack then pushes her head forward and butts heads with Rainbow,

"Not necessarily. In fact, Ah love a good challenge."

Rainbow retaliates, "Oh, it's on now!" After the challenge was declared, the two mares zoom out the door faster than Twilight or Pinkie Pie could say anything about it. Twilight sighs.

"There's just no stopping those two, is there?" Twilight then giggles a little, "Well, we may as well catch up to them, if we even can."

Pinkie Pie suddenly bursts out, "I bet you 3 bits that that noise came from something in a purple jacket!"

Twilight couldn't think of any logical answer to Pinkie's random outburst, "Uh... wha-?" However, it was a little too late for questions, as Pinkie has already bounced out of the room. With another sigh, Twilight quickly trots through the doorway as well, hoping to catch up to her friends.

"Why is everything so dark...? A-Am I dead? What a way to die, 'I tried to kill a fly in my time machine and I accidentally hit the 'open hatch' button.' Wait... it's getting brighter... Okay now it's really bright. TOO BRI-"

A teenage sized figure jolts up in the Everfree Forest, scaring off some birds nearby. This figure is the Super Saiyan teenager, son of Prince Vegeta himself, Trunks Briefs. Who somehow found himself stuck in the middle of the Everfree Forest. "Where am I?" Trunks says while observing his surroundings. All that was around him were trees, trees, and... more trees. Trunks was dead center in a small clearing in a dense forest of green. "Is this Otherworld? Am I dead?" Trunks decides to test his theory with the simplest of methods: A good pinch to the shoulder.

"Ow!"

His theory is quickly dis-proven, as the Saiyan felt a sharp pain jolt through his shoulder. "Well, at least I'm not dead." Trunks then sits up. "But that still doesn't answer my other question. Where am I...?"

Trunks wears a blue jacket, and has Purple hair. At least in Dragon Ball Z. In Dragon Ball Super, Future Trunks has blue hair for some reason.
