This part doesn't make much sense. Airbending is supposed to be about adaptability and quickly finding the path of least resistance. This just feels like you ripped it off the source material without really thinking about the implications.

Okay, I know you're trying, but I'm having a hard time understanding the lore and the world-building behind this story. I know it's based off of the lore of the source material, but the lore from the source material is not meshing well with the changes that you made. For one thing, is lavabending a common enough skill that people are able to easily make an association between heat and earthbending? Also, isn't using lavabending to heat a cup of tea overkill? Finally, assuming that Stygian was using an earthenware cup, how did he get such a high level of control that he didn't end up turning the whole cup into lava?

Well First Comet new he lava bent because Flash is the only fire bender and think it like stygian used rock nearby to lava bend and heat up his tea.
