WhatDidIJustRead

Writing wrongs.

Sequels1

Pinkie Pie feels good almost all the time, so when she hears she can feel even better, of course she gives it a try. Unfortunately, the "it" she gives a try is mareijuana, one of the most dangerous drugs on the planet.

This story was inspired by D.A.R.E. and their brave and fact-based anti-drug campaign that certainly would never tell lies for their cause.

Well this isn't the most dangerous drug in the world for one thing and its the most unharmful unless you take it at a near constant rate. Anyway was a good story, probably should have chose something else as this is kind of a bad example.

I'm assuming that's the joke, judging by the sarcasm of the second paragraph.

I do believe that the focus on marijuana in this scenario, is specifically used to poke fun at some of the zealotry on the more harmless drugs that some movements have decided to make their prime directive. Like the aforementioned D.A.R.E mentioned in the description of the story.
It is my guess that the author while probably not supporting the overuse of heavy drugs, might not mind responsible use of less influential influences like the "Dank Kush" that is "Weed.

Of course those are all just a bunch of guesses, made from the humorous context of the authors words in both story and description, and may be entirely wrong.
Viewer discretion is advised.

Sounds more like Datura mixed with Heroin, rather than Cannabis.

You used "pronk" as a locomotive verb. Automatic upvote.

Ok, so as someone whose family has cases of Schizophrenia and Borderline Personality Disorder and uses LEGAL marijuana to lessen the effects, I can tell you you got several things wrong here.

Firstly, Marijuana does not in fact cause hallucinations. Acid and Magic Mushrooms, two other forms of drugs, do.

Secondly, marijuana and eucalyptus is not a combination any sane person would use, and you are basically saying anyone who uses marijuana is completely stupid, which I take as an insult against my family.

Thirdly, you don't get addicted to it that easily. It takes several doses, and you don't immediately say you absolutely need more of it within seconds of the effects hitting.

I'm really sorry, but marijuana is a touchy subject for me. I, personally, have never used it, but my family does due to its' medicinal properties.

You are indeed rather correct on all fronts.

See the comment by Charles Farrow down there for more information. I apologize if I offended you, but I thought the satire of it was pretty plain.

It's fine, it's just a personal subject.

I can sort of relate. I'm sort of in the same waters but different ship, I generally believe in the health benefits of some drugs. For me I'm a mentally unstable, near borderline psychopath. And the only compound that can keep me stable is psychedelics.

I'll describe when I went on psychedelics for the first time, I was feared by about 97% of the students at the institute where I studied (Which I loved), which was spread around primarily 3 year groups. But the first trip I had, It mellowed me out, and made me relax and the following morning I walked bare foot (which I haven't done since I was around 7), and the shock on some peoples faces seeing the most feared student, was being human (which if I'm honest people were more afraid).

This was pretty dark.

Reminds me a bit of "reefer madness" lol

You're never supposed to take anything from this author, " WhatDidIJustRead?", seriously. lol.

Imagine it:

Pinkie Pie Does Crystal Meth

It'd be amazing!

You do know D.A.R.E. Removed it from the gateway drug. Right?

9611047
I did not, but I was kinda basing it off of the D.A.R.E. that I grew up with, and didn't actually research, lol. That is good to know, though, thanks.

Your welcome, and I understand.

I was more expecting Pinkie to fry an egg in a pan and then start demolishing the kitchen with said pan as a result of “drug use.” But hey, PSAs aren’t the same as they used to be.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well.. to be honest, I thought the monster was the Cakes. So, glad that didn't happen.
