This is an interesting idea, although it's strange that Grandpa Gruff hasn't been mentioned. He might not be Griffonstone's official leader, but he's been acting as their village elder, so his absence is noticeable.

It's fine. There's just only a few Griffin romance fanfics. Most of them focus on cross species romance like Griffin x pony. I don't mind them. I like those fics but I have this Griffin romance inch I can't scratch. To my knowledge there is only one fic about Gilda x Griffin OC that I like called the Third Nicest Thing. Anyway, I was surprised about the proposal. Gwyn would still have Celestia's support without the proposal.

I'm glad Gruff has joined the team. He's like the only old grandpa griffon we see in the show who knows many things about Griffonstone before the treasure disappear.

Agreed. It would help in some of the relations between the nations, and piss off the a-hole caste of nobles in Canterlot; thus giving us an interesting story to read.

Gabriel can suck it, so what if the Prince wants to be friends with the common folk it will probably make him a better ruler in the end anyway.

There isn't much info on what they wear. The way they portray Griffonstone seems reminiscent of something like an English hamlet so ideally their dress may resemble an old English style. Personally, in my head, I kind of imagine the griffons having formal wear in the style and color sensibility of a place like Morocco. If you look up traditional Moroccan clothing you'll see what I mean.

Okay I love fanfic s where the main character is a griffon. And gilda my favorite griffon is in this one even.
I cant read it though...I got this far in and I just feel rushed.
"Hi I'm gwyn, I'm a prince, imma fix this place. Here is how. Oh hi griffons, accept me, accepted? Great? Princesses? Oh I'm in love already with one. "
....I feel like it's a list of events, and not a story...it feels..too fast. A. I'm here to fix things. B. I'm proving myself. C. Done.
It Needs more depth. More time between things.
On the other claw, it's a story where gilda gets some limelight, where she not a human. Not anthro. And just herself. which is rare! So kudos to you writer for that. I appreciate it...I just cant read the rest.

That's a very naive way of thinking. Gabriel known what he's talking about. There are very good reasons why royal shouldn't get too personally or emotionally attached with friends and those around them or it will cost them dearly if a opposing foreign power decides to use the people they're attached to against them in some way. Being a ruler of a country is always a risky political game.

But a Monarch that's Popular with the Common Folk is arguable better than one who sucks up to Nobles and Pretentious High Society Members because the one who listens to the Common Folk will more than likely be able to see what is wrong with the Common Folk and try to fix the problems.
