At best she might be able to get an Ancient Artifact Of Reasonable Power And Moderate Migraines. There really wasn’t much point in buying one of those. Again.

Well, there's a story...

Amazing how one little Pokémon can so radically alter the timeline. A delightful tail* of mutual struggle and finding love while crawling your way up from rock bottom**. Thank you for it, and best of luck in the contest.
*For the record, not an intentional pun. I wrote it that way and liked it too much to change it.
**On the other hand, this one was completely intentional.

Also, I honestly don't know which of the epilogues I like the most. Though definite points for Love Tap understanding the ramifications of Payday abuse.

It's a beautiful example of minimalist prose, isn't it? :moustache:

Thank you for the kind words and best of luck to you as well.

I still need to read your entry, but now that I've finally gotten over my procrastination for writing, I hope to read it tomorrow. :twilightsheepish:

Trixie and Smeargle, Fertility Consultants. All fees paid in advance, please.

Hey, Princess Reproduction Through Egg-Laying is a proven. I should know. :pinkiehappy:

“We had an egg. We don't know how it got there, but we had it.”

*Slow clapping* :ajsmug:

Thank you, thank you both. :moustache:

We always knew Twilight was secretly a Pokémon.

Also, Smear is going to be so confused when Cadance tells them the news at their next visit and he doesn't see another egg.

That was a fun bit of silliness. Good thing they can communicate, despite the language barrier.

Smeargel learned Brick Break from Maud, Growl, from Limestone, and Strength from Pinkie?

Pokemon turning up near the rock farm. Why not right? Queue adding 'Pinkie is a Ditto' to the theories list...

9483244
It does explain a lot. Though I wonder if she's got a stage three evolution...

First evolution was through friendship, second evolution will be through something even more esoteric.

9483487
Strength from Marble, actually, but otherwise correct. :scootangel:

Besides, if Pinkie really was a Ditto he couldn't have gotten Strength from her. :derpytongue2:

9483494
Base form is Twilight
First evolution was Flylight
Second evolution will be Bilight, with two horns, two pairs of wings and two times as many anxiety attacks (and obviously the requirement for the second evolution is trading her with five other friends first).

I like how you chose a Pokémon I’ve never seen in a fanfic before. I don’t like how the moves are mentioned in square brackets, because it sounds like a script.

9484048
Well, I didn't actually choose it myself. It was randomly picked from the SSBU spirit roster, but thank you. :twilightsheepish:

As for the moves, the brackets are supposed to simulate the boxes from the Pokémon games. I suppose I could have put them into quote boxes instead, but I didn't think of it until now.

9484081
(I wasn't notified of your reply.)

I was more referring to the fact that the moves aren't described like any other action.

9484490
Ah, yes. That was intentional.
It's basically the action textbox, since Smear literally comes from the video games.

I'm just thinking of the pies working on their farm and then when they try to move a particular rock that has other black rocks sticking to it they get a bit of a shock from an alolan geodude which probably would phase them at all until they see the face on the rock

I just realised that Trixie is in a same sex relationship with that smeargle after all attract canonically only works on the opposite gender and shining armor is a guy so that smeargle is female

Oh... So it was button mash's fault?

I don't get it

Gamers man. Who can hope to understand them?

I mean, it's no more bizarre than, well...

Well, that was... a thing. I can definitely say that. I'm not exactly sure what it was, but I think I liked it. A lot.

If nothing else, fascinating to see what the two give each other in a relationship. Truly, romantic connections come from the oddest places.

As an aside, that comic would be vastly better if it replaced one of the Pokémon with Gardevoir. (The other can stay, because all 3 share an egg group)
