Nic Nerdy

I'm Nic and I am here to tell the stories that come from the big book of ideas that is my brain. If you must know, I'm into comics, movies, video games and other forms of entertainment.

Wonder Woman and all respective characters belong to DC COMICS

During a visit to Ponyville for the Summer Sun Celebration, Wonder Mare will meet five other ponies like her, ponies with incredible powers that use their gifts to protect ponies from threats that the average guard can't handle.

Their powers will come in handy when a foe named Nightmare Eclipso abducts Princess Celestia during the celebration and traps Equestria in eternal night, promising that daylight will never return.

To defeat Nightmare Eclipso, the six ponies must journey into the Everfree Forest to find magical relics known as the Elements of Justice. The fate of Equestria rests in their hooves.

Really good start to this story. I have to admit to really liking DC Comics, so seeing Ponified versions of six of the DC super-heroines in the lead roles is rather great to me. Very good job on the exchanges, characterizations and future action set-up too. Actually it should be "five mares with incredible powers and one Badflank Normal." (since the vast majority of the Bat-characters don't have super-powers, but can do just as well as [if not even better than] most of the ones who DO have super-powers) But, I would suppose that would probably sound a little too comedic so I can understand why you phrased it the way you did. And, yeah, I guess it makes really good sense for the only one without super-powers to be the only Earth pony in the group.

Oddly enough, I've seen a few episodes of the DePatie-Freleng super-hero spoof show from the mid-1960s ALSO titled "Super 6" on YouTube just a few weeks ago. Admittedly, I'm not mentioning that as anything more than an amazing coincidence, but I just couldn't help myself for some reason.

So, yeah, definitely going to be looking forward to more of this, but will also understand if real world demands get in the way.

Is it true that Lauren Faust (and possibly one of the other early producers/animators of MLP: FiM) did work on D.C. Super Girls?

She's working on the upcoming reboot of the DC SUPERHERO GIRLS.

9494425
But are there any other MLP producers working on it or is it just her?

9494440
As far as I know, it is just her.

9494411
Thanks, I appreciate everything you have said.

No offense, but who is fyre-flye on DeviantArt? The early drawings of MLP:FiM from 2008 suggest that she was in on the early design of the series (as well as Them's Fightin' Herds). Was she?

I think fyre-flye was Lauren Faust's DeviantART alias. I COULD be wrong about that though.

9495202
You are very welcome.

9495404
Maybe you can consider following me for more stories I plan to write with these characters.

9495560
I'll definitely consider it.

9495401
The name actually says "Lauren Faust", but I'm not sure whether I'd be 100% certain it's her.

But if it were her, why wasn't she on some sort of an elitist site rather than DeviantArt? (And how would you react if she came to Fimfiction?)

Really good job on the conclusion to the story. The characterizations, exchanges, action, general wrap-up and future story set-up are all well done in all the right places. I especially liked your spin on the trials.

9537423
Yeah, I wanted to make the trails a bit more unique to each of the characters as I didn't want to make them carbon copies of the Mane Six

9537533
Completely understandable.

9537551
Any particular moments you like in the story?

9537558
Pretty much ALL of them. But highlights include Black Canary defeating that cyclops even though she doesn't have the super-strength of literally half her teammates, Batmare and Green Lantern beating the fear illusions as well as the heroes figuring out the villainess's identity on their own and the end scenes with Celestia and Hippolyta.

9537582
For the scene showcasing how Batmare and Green Lantern, I decided to combine their scenes because I felt the two work well with each other during that scene would better benefit them.

9537600
Indeed so. That was a quite excellent bit of inspiration.
