This story is a sequel to The Elements of the Crystal Empire

Note: this book will take place following this timeline, not canon.

All credit for cover art goes to xebck.

Sunset Shimmer's pretty content with her life. She's the Bearer of the Element of Magic, the Crown Regent of the Crystal Empire, and has a great group of friends to fall back on when times get rough.

She thinks that her life will return to being pretty normal - well, as normal as it can get with all those titles and the publicity.

She's wrong.

She's very, very wrong.

In fact, there is no such thing as normal life in Crystallia, capital city of the Crystal Empire. Who in Equus put such a dangerous idea inside your head?

Great job on the start to this series of stories. I love the spin you put on this episode. Faithful to the spirit, but keeping the different personalities of the characters in mind. I especially liked the bit of info concerning Flame's family, the failed prank concerning Sugarcoat and the subtle, but significant differences between Indigo and Rainbow concerning Gilda.

Really good job on the exchanges, humor, characterizations, general "episode" wrap-up and future "episode" set-up in all the right places.

I am really looking forward to this adaptation of the series and hope to be seeing new chapters soon!!!

Interesting... Trixie was an ego, but its not hilarious huge like the show.

Excellent work on this latest chapter. I love the work that went into the exchanges, characterizations, general wrap-up and future chapter set-up. I love how the reason for Sunset's reluctance was appropriately altered, how those two fillies' waking the Ursa MINOR was by ACCIDENT rather than deliberately hunting the Ursa like Snips and Snails in canon AND how Trixie actually apologized first to Sunset and then to the fillies (A LOT sooner than she would in canon [at least no mess with the Alicorn Amulet was required for THIS apology]).

All in all, I will VERY certainly be looking forward to more.

REALLY good job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. REALLY good background detail concerning the reason for Sour's fear of dragons plus the added details of the precautions taken before they began their journey.

This has a lot of potential. I can't wait to see how it progresses. Even though it hasn't been updated in months suagihiagahhha

oh, trust me, I haven't given up on this. It was mostly a sick family member and then the holidays that put me off posting.

"With great power . . ." Sunset stifled a yawn. "Comes great need to take a nap. Wake me up never."

Love the Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian reference! Go Nico Di Angelo!

Starlight became Trixie partway through the chapter. That's the real trick!

Sour, dragon.

Lockdown!

Sour, hydra.

Lockdown!

Sour, ice cream.

Sweet! Hah, you though you could get me with that?
