In the magical land of Equestria, hoofball is the favorite pastime of stallions, mares, and fillies alike. The Equestrian Hoofball League (EHL) promises physical, high-impact sporting spectacles with every regular season, with the annual championship game (The Equestria Bowl) being the most attended public event in Equestria every year.
Equestria-raised griffon and wide receiver Gaius Strongtalon has been playing hoofball since he was a cub, fueled by a love for the game that he inherited from his adoptive father. His unique skills in the position have earned him a place in the EHL Draft, where he will be chosen by one of the 16 teams representing the league. But with the glory and wealth of a pro hoofball player comes the requirement of full dedication to the sport, an unfamiliar new home, and suspending past relationships for the sake of the future. Not to mention the risks of injury, or worse. He'll have to tackle it all while trying to be a griffon trailblazing into a sport dominated by ponies.

Thank you! ^^ One of my biggest goals for this story was to make it understandable and enjoyable for readers that weren't familiar with American football, which is obviously what hoofball in this story is based on (actually that's pretty much exactly what it is, only with minor tweaks).
I like this story so far. The football action is fun to read and Gaius is a cool character. Keep it up! I'd love to read more.

I appreciate it. And I agree with the criticism, but that's kind of intentional. It'll be addressed more as the story continues. I pretty much took a hiatus from this story the last few months because my last semester of college was a lot more demanding than I anticipated. But I'm getting ready to graduate now and I'm getting close to finishing the next chapter.

Interesting Question. I haven't really considered what Gaius's voice would sound like. Maybe like mine, since at least personality-wise, there's a lot of comparisons between him and myself? So... mid-to-low tenor college-aged voice.
Bronze would sound like Braeburn with a little less southern drawl. He has an accent, which is why I write his dialogue the way I do.
Hoofrocket would probably sound like Drew Brees, the real-life NFL Quarterback. That's who he's heavily inspired by.
Snowfall would sound like Feather Bangs. I feel dirty for saying that, but it's true.
