Flash would do anything for his friends. And when he sees Twilight in danger, he's ready to do anything in his power to keep her from harm. But things get out of hand, in the worse way possible.
This story takes place during the movie "Equestria Girls: Friendship Games". Alternate universe.
BEFORE READING:
- In this universe, the incident in which Spike gained the ability to talk never occurred. Therefore, he doesn’t speak here. He is, however, more intelligent than an average pet. Basically, the Spike we all know, minus the talking.
- The paragraphs written in all italics are flashbacks, and all of them happened during the duration of the Friendship Games. They occur in inverse chronological order.
- Please go easy on me, I’m not an excellent writer and that I haven’t done this in a while, but I wanted to share this story in written form, because a comic would’ve taken too long.

The alternate scenario was interesting and it fleshed Flash out a bit more, including how he managed to maintain enough control over his actions to stop before he actually hurt Twilight.(I'll admit I thought that was going to happen but then I noticed there was no tragedy tag
)
Overall, a good read and I wouldn't mind a series of oneshots of their budding relationship in the future.
Or a spinoff of Flash getting powers alongside the Rainbooms due to his exposure to magic in Twilight's place
I don't know why, but this is my favorite part of the whole thing.

I think I like this better than the original Friendship Games. It's got good development for Flash that helps to flesh out his character and I'm a sucker for Sci-Twi x Flash stories.
My only gripe is that this isn't canon. So all in all, this is one for my faves. Excellent job!

Honestly, this is the kind of thing that I like to see in some more Equestria Girls material. I honestly do believe that Flash looks absolutely terrifying in the cover. Like, I do honestly believe that Cato from my crossover stories probably would have a tough time if he had to face Flash in this form.
This story is 100 times better than the original film and every other EQG piece after it.
