ThePinkedWonder

Someday, I'll stop writing silly comedy stories. However, today isn't "someday".

T

When Princess Twilight Sparkle asks Eric Reed if he'll like to go with her to the Crystal Empire to visit Princess Cadance, Shining Armor, and Flurry Heart, he accepts her offer. But once they, along with Pinkie Pie and Starlight Glimmer, arrive, Eric suddenly starts acting odd, later becomes ill, and Cadance allows him to rest in the Crystal Castle at Twilight's request.

It turns out, there was more to that illness than it looked, and after a nap, he finds himself to be about the size of a flea! And worse, he's too small to be heard! Will he find a way to get somepony to see or hear him? It only gets tougher -- and less fun -- when he accidentally gets thrown onto a certain Princess's back, without her knowing she did it...

And how did Eric shrink so small? He can blame a buck up from one of his two Equestrian "big sisters" for this...

This story, like other stories I've written with the OC human character Eric Reed, takes place after the events of my 18-chapter "A Giant Adventure to Equestria" story. But it's not required to read it first to understand and enjoy this story, other than to learn more on Eric's backstory, how and why he's in Equestria, and how he formed his brother-sister bonds with Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer. However, here's the link to the story if you'll like to check it out.

A Giant Adventure to Equestria

This story was also something of a "semi-request", and special thanks to McProky for proofreading chapters one and two of this story.

Can't wait to see happens next.

Pull on her fur, scream directly into her ear, get directly in front of her eye. Just a few suggestions. Can’t wait for more!

Something tells me things aren't going to go as planned for Eric.

Nice job, as per usual. Just a quick question: why is this rated teen?

Mainly because of how Cadence's sweat got on Eric, for the parts with the flies being crushed, and I originally even had the "Gore" tag with this story, but took it off before I submitted it. I just thought I'll play it safe by giving this story a 'T" rating.

That last bit really made me lose it. Great job as always. I still think you should do a story where Eric gains a human love interest, but that’s just me. Anyhow, can’t wait until your next story.

Glad you liked it!

I've been giving some thought about Eric getting a love interest, but if it's a human one, something like that would be big so if i do it, it wouldn't be till I eventually write a true sequel to that "A Giant Adventure to Equestria story", since I'm mainly writing stories like these like self-contained stories, so that's why this and other short stories never have callbacks to any of the other short stories. With the exception to the "Way Too Many Marefriends and Girlfriends(?) story which had callbacks to it's prequel "Too Many Marefriends (And wives)"

A pony love interest for him would be easier to do, and I'm actually beginning to write a short story where he's actually going to fall for a mare, but it'll be a while before even the first chapter to that will be ready. But there's another story I'm writing too and giving more attention to. The first chapter to that is written, but I'm in the early stages of editing it, which would take at least a week to finish.

Sounds good. If you ever need any help, feel free to ask. A pony love interest would probably work just as much as a human love interest I guess.

When I'm done editing the first chapter to the story (not the one when Eric falls for a mare) if you want, you could pre-read it, and give suggestions to it, if you'll have any. I can send you a PM when I'm done editing it.

Sounds good. Just outta curiosity, what’s it about?

It'll have Eric betting Twilight that she can't go a week without reading books. You can probably guess that "bookhorse" is gonna struggle, in classic Twilight fashion.

At least it isn't a 'big' problem. Yet.

This is really making me consider the physics of how scent chemistry would work on someone shrunk like that. Since smelling is a chemical reaction between receptors in your nose and tongue, how would the change of the size of your receptors be affected with the size of the scent molecules remaining constant. Would smells be stronger, or would your sense of smell be able to function at all?

Of course this is moot in magical horse land.

Oh, that is good! Can't believe I didn't think of that myself.
