An interesting premise, but the mélange of colors makes this hard to read. I fail to see a need for every mention of a character to be a different color.
Downvoted because the color for each character is stupid. Not sure if it's lazy writing or the author not thinking it through.
First story will never work as an excuse either.
Might change tone if the colors are removed.

What the heck just happened?!!
Well THIS is an interesting development. The "author's" nihilism seems to be at odds with Pinkie's idealism. Is this a battle between good and evil on a meta level, and if so how can the characters interact with it, or are they just the pawns in this story? I gotta say this could end up being a lot better than I originally envisioned. Sure Edgy Twilight is a cool concept, especially with the consequences that entails with her being such an important character, but this adds a new layer that's gotten me very curious. Also not sure what's going on with Celestia right now but I imagine she's not too pleased.

Celestia! What in thunder is this supposed to be? Get some weather ponies up there when you first hear about the dragon, have them set up a prevailing wind to carry the smoke back over the other side of the mountain, and tie the weather system to a totem! It's a basic enchantment that any half-wit weather mage could handle!
letting your country suffocate because you're in a passive-aggressive game of chicken-by-mail with your idiot student has got to be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen you do! And that includes binding your spirit to an arcane computer without first checking to see if it was actually hooked up to anything!

I don't know why, but this story really makes me dislike Pinkie for some unknown reason. Great chapter, the sudden fact that Twilight carved herself hit really hard once I realized it.
