In the Old West, the great mustang Spirit seemed...dispirited, to say the least. Sure, he runs freely with his herd once again, but after the adventure with the two-legged, things are slowing down a little, and he's itching for more. After racing after a strange, pink star one day, he finds himself in a strange land; a land where the apple trees are smaller, and the ponies and foals even smaller. What's more, some if not all are colored strangely, with even stranger brands on their flanks. Even stranger still, some have horns and wings!
OK, maybe this adventure is a little too strange for the mustang.

Interesting idea and its pretty good so far can't wait to see chapter 2.

Seems interesting :) I suppose Sprit thought the rounders were coming when he heard Applejack.

Well somepony is about to be really confused...

I'm a little confused as to why you made your mustang stallion so huge?
A mustang only measures 4.5 to 5 feet at the withers. That's about 15 hands for the larger mustangs. In the chart I've linked the correct horse is the paint.

Trouble shoes is a Clydesdale, and would be considerably larger then a mustang. A mustang stallion would be larger then an Arabian, but only by a little.

Firstly, he's not really huge huge. I just described his size from the view of the CMC. I'd like to think that Spirit is slightly bigger than the average mustang, so for the sake height I'm giving him a flat 6 feet in height. He's only slightly bigger than Troubleshoes, who according to this chart, is 5'7": https://www.deviantart.com/dahalonut/art/Troubleshoes-Size-Comparison-536164674
Secondly, as for him eating the apples that are still attached to the trees, he was standing on his hind legs. One thing I noticed is that though his height doesn't mean much, he's significantly longer than the ponies of the show. So if you have Spirit and Troubleshoes stand on their hind legs, Spirit would win by a large margin. I'm sorry for not making it clear. I edited the chapter for future readers.
Hope that explains his size! As for other aspects, they'll be further explained in the later chapters. Thanks for reading!

Whoever did that chart made Trouble shoes really small for a draft horse. XD

Well, Troubleshoes isn't a horse. He's a pony. He's based on a Clydesdale, but he isn't actually one. :)
