Eric Reed was thinking about some of the girls back in his old, human world, wishing he could have a girlfriend. A human girlfriend. But before he knew it, Eric found himself having to deal with the affections of his suddenly overfriendly pony friends. Who may or may not take "no" for an answer. He's not into ponies like that, so this becomes really weird for him.
And things will only get weirder.
In the many months he's known them, none of his friends have ever once showed any real hints of a romantic interest in Eric. Why would they start doing it now...?
Like similar short stories I've wrote, and still writing, this story takes place after the events of my "A Giant Adventure to Equestria" story, but this isn't really a sequel to it. You can enjoy this story without needing to read "A Giant Adventure to Equestria, but here's the link to it if you want to read it, and to learn about Eric's backstory.

But I didn't really forget about Trixie. If this story did well, I was gonna make a sequel, so if I do, I'll need more mares to give Eric the love treatment. It did well enough to think about it.

Because the events that happened in all my stories are, from a timeline standpoint, during Season 7 and before the movie, I don't think I can bring in Tempest.
EQG doesn't exist in "A Giant Adventure to Equestria", but I could still bring in Sunset, by saying that a sequel to this story contains a ret-con, allowing me to bring 'ol baconmane in. Even if I did have EQG "canon" in my 'Main" story, I could've wrote it in a way to keep it pretty much the same as it is now.
I'm writing these shorter stories as more or less self-contained stories that take place after it, so I could just say that only short stories with Sunset has the ret-con.
EDIT: I decided to just ret-con the "A Giant Adventure to Equestria" story itself, so EQG is now canon, but the story didn't really change much.

Discord totally crossed the line here. He outright caused Starlight to almost glimglam her little brother figure. Thankfully she didn’t force it upon him but GAH!

Discord was keeping tabs on the situation, so if things started to go too far (i.e. Starlight successfully getting Eric in his bed and he couldn't/struggled get her off of him) then Discord would have stepped in and canceled his spell on the Mane 5. Even so, his plan, even if it went about as well as he thought it would and was done with good intentions, was in itself crossing the line.
Although in the case of Starlight, it could also be looked at as her getting a taste of her own medicine when it comes to mind-control-type spells, even if the Starlight in this story's timeline wouldn't do those types of spells anymore.
