This story is a sequel to Thomas & Equestria Girls: Welcome to Canterlot High

A new threat has arrived on the Island of Sodor with intentions that put steam engines in extreme danger. This forces Thomas and his friends to seek the help of their friends from Canterlot High. Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, and the rest take on the task and travel to Sodor. Through their odd and challenging journey, they'll discover new things about Thomas' home, meet some new friends, and thwart an old foe's schemes before Sodor, Canterlot, and beyond fall under their spell.

Its a story that tackles the struggles of keeping up with and finding purpose in an ever changing society, how important our past can reshape the future, and finding the courage to take a stand and become a true leader.

Silver dust? That’s a new one

Well it could be the gold dust color looks different under water. it could just be easily explainable

What movie is the poster for in the theater?

9401648
Can't say. But it will be brought up again.

I can’t wait for the next chapter! This is starting to be a great epic story!

Whoa... that was dark man. So dark that it gave me the willies but I love it. You gave what the movie was lacking; a motive. A motive of revenge; revenge for their race, revenge for their parents, revenge for being called monsters for being different and a reason to hate ponies. Not even friendship magic can heal that permanent scar to their hearts. The dark truths can hurt others but its the truth on life; friendship cannot undo the past actions

And that's one of the many aspects, if not the main conflict of this story, and why I'm excited to start exploring. The journey a head may feel crowded and loaded with too much, but they'll still tie together with the overall moral of this story. I'm glad you like this! And I can't wait to see what people think of the rest moving forward.

9442423Thanks you for your reply but serious; your are some who shown the dark secrets of ponies that they are not all innocent and Celestia is blind because of her protection to ponies.

9442467
... I'm sensing you're not a fan of ponies, lol.

9442639
They haven't done ponies that are villains; not counting Luna who was neglected and what's his name becoming the Pony of Shadows because of a misunderstand. Cozy was corrupted by the Magic of Friendship, my reason is given that it was powerful, of course they would say Friendship is power. Perhaps they will battle against a pony that uses friendship in evil. No one said that friendship is only on the side of good.

First of all I highly doubt Thomas will stay at canterlot and secretly go with the mane 7 cause that’s just who he is he will always help his friends no matter the danger

now onto juniper somehow knowing who Thomas is my first thought that he met her during the first story and that there hasn’t been a side story to reveal that yet but after a minute I thought of a crazier idea from when sunset first talked to juniper they were looking at a poster for a movie with silver sparkles it is a possibility that somehow in some way for another Thomas and his engine friends are in The movie the poster is for in their engines from (possibly the reason juniper not knowing instantly who he is

As always keep up the good work hopefully soon the confusion will be explained

9455250
One of those is correct and one of them is wrong :raritywink: The confusion will be explained next chapter. Stay tune until then!

9455854
Well that least I have a better understanding can’t wait

Yeah know at some part of this either in this one or a sequel to this at some point Thomas is going to have to ride in a locomotive in either canterlot city or in equestria (wonder how he would react?)

”...They've taken my brothers and sent them back to where they came to be… scrapped."

That doesn’t make sense. All of Gordon’s brothers, sans Flying Scotsman, have been withdrawn and scrapped since 1966. Then again, there is the Peppercorn Class A1 Tornado. But he only works on heritage railways, I think.

”...Being the world famous show off he is,...”

As a side note, I like Flying Scotsman from the book series better. A much friendlier and charming personality than how he was in The Great Race.

We're talking about a time period that's inconsistent with the show. As far as I see, the TV show still takes place around the late 50's or somewhere in the 1960's (Possibly later since the show has been going on for some time.) It has been established in the Railway Series what year Gordon's brothers have been scrapped, but the TV series is completely different and plays by it's own rules all together.

I could be wrong, absolutely, but I'm just going off by what has and what hasn't been established in the show, not the books.

I also especially love how you referenced Awdry, Ringo (I think) and Allcroft

I watch the show when I was a kid but I perfer the older ones. The ones where the trains' faces changes to show their emotions and all the people and animals were toys and are not in 3D animation

Wow! This is a great chapter. I wonder if the Engines are gonna' be quite jealous of Thomas' popularity. ;)

Yes, that was suppose to be "Ringo" (The younger man with the brown beard).

I swear, Sour Sweet has worse mood swings than a pregnant woman.

Electric Type 4's, BR Class 31's, 52's, Peak 46's and Hymeks 35's.

Many were Class 05 & 06's, and others spotted were class 08's and above.

BoCo, a metropolitan vicar's electric type 2

Sorry to be a BR diesel pedant, but none of those numbers need apostrophes. Those are only used in this case to denote ownership. Also, I've noted that you alternate between the nickname, type number and BR TOPS class. Any particular reason for this?

And for the last one, all words barring 'a' need to have capital letters at the beginning. Metropolitan Vickers Type 2, as each of those words is a proper noun.

If you're referring to diesels like Skinhead, Western, and Whistler, those three will commonly appear throughout the Sodor portion. So addressing them by their nicknames makes it easier to identity when they're in a scene. Any diesel not getting the same amount of focus will be addressed simply by their basis.

Thank you for pointing out the apostrophes! Don't know why I didn't think of that when I wrote these. I needed it to come across like there's more than one type present. The Apostrophes here are now cleaned up, and I'll see if any other chapter still has that error. Also capitalized BoCo's basis.

I would like these to be accurate, so I have no problem if anyone wishes to correct me. So again, thanks for the tips!

Yeah, I'm a bit of BR diesel nut. A little bit of further advise would be to introduce them by class, then introduce the nickname. For instance;

"One of these engines was a BR Class 37, more commonly known as a Tractor."

From then on, you could use the nickname. Other common nicknames include Choppers (Class 20), Spoons (Class 47), Westerns (Class 52), Deltics (Class 55), and Sheds (Class 66), to name a few.

Awe. I expected a heckling appearance by Stephen and Glynn.
Stephen: The conditions here stink.
Glynn: Aye, and so does the show.
Both Dohohohohohohoh.

I am liking this story so far. It’s getting more and more epic by the minute!

when is this story going to be updated?

I love it! Keep up the awesome work for this story!

Sodor looks like a Jackson Pollock Painting when it is zoomed out.

how many chapters is this story going to have?

Man, this is going really great. And I so glad that Edward is back with his friends! I wonder what's gonna happen next? :pinkiehappy:

Curse these cliffhangers!!!!!!!

The steam engines were Duck, Oliver, Douglas, and Toad the brake van. The three spotted the group of steamies sitting in the open junction and chuffed their way over to meet the new faces. Sunset and the others saw the three engines chuffing over, baring friendly and polite smiles.

I think you meant to write Donald instead of Douglas in that group name.

Literally, I came here to fix that just before I saw your comment. That's a big oops on my end.

Rarity was an NSB Class 21c of a 2-6-0 configuration. Her smokebox and funnel were a moderate indigo shade. The base of her boiler, cab, and tender were painted in a light, sapphire gray with purple stripes. Her driving and tender wheels were all a dark, moderate mulberry purple, cylinders were cyan, and coupling rods a light cornflower blue. The cab roof was violet and buffer beams were red. Her indigo geode lantern sat to the right of her front buffers.

A very similar loco to my personal pick for steam loco Rarity; the K4.

Whew! I'm glad Henry and Fluttershy are back together again! I can't wait for the next chapter! :pinkiehappy:

10085897
Yep. I'll be a railway enthusiast to the end.

Wow! Looks like Diesel suddenly had a change of heart... right?

10158031
We'll have to find out, won't we ;)

Fluttershy's engine was based on an E 3/3 3 "Beinwyl" built by Krauss & Co but with a unique 0-2-0 wheel configuration.

Did you, by any chance, mean 0-2-2-0? An 0-2-0 would be unable to run properly.
