Wondering when/if we will ever find out what happened to Celestia.
Probably unpopular opinion but I'm sorta hoping eventually he does go back and get a true happy ending, obviously I don't want him to just pretend nothing happened, but I hope he gets something.
I'm curious to know what the rest of equestria must think now they know it wasn't him. I can just picture over the years he's been out there that there have been articles in newspapers and books all vilifying him as the beast that killed their princess only to find out that he was innocent all along.
.....Isn't Celestia more or less the avatar of the sun? Wouldn't that mean that so long as the sun exists then so does Celestia? So even if she is killed then her connection to the sun will "Respawn" her at some point in the Future?
It would be interesting if that was the case.
Well it'll be interesting to see what happens next, whenever it happens, either way these are great!
I'm disappointed in the guys' reaction to Rainbow's appearance. While it is well-developed that he's losing some of his resentment at them by reminiscing of his good memories before ending in ponyland, I still feel this is off - at least Fluttershy tried to defend him albeit in vain. Rainbow? She turned her back on him like the others, so why should he care about her? Memories notwithstanding this whole chapter seem off to me.
Other than that criticism, good chapter - and I cannot wait to read more about how things turn out for him when the others show up.

It's mostly due to the fact that it's really hard to keep a grudge going. I wanted to show some healing, and while Rainbow didn't go with him, she also didn't do anything against him. A grudge due to inaction is like a heavyweight, and the simple act of talking to her was enough to get rid of it.

Memory fails me - I know from the previous release that Fluttershy was the only one who spoke in his favor, and I know that Twilight spoke against him, with Luna judging him badly.
What was the posture of the other ponies if it was shown in the chapter showing his trial?
