Adagio Dazzle was happy with her life. Top of her field in Marine Biology and worked at one of the nation's foremost aquariums. Everything was going fairly well for her. That is, until she got mistaken for this doppelganger who apparently tried to take over the world a few years back by this rainbow-haired chick and to make matters worse some idiot calling himself Ankh decided it was a good idea to follow her around begging her to become this Kamen Rider OOO character. Whatever that meant.

And what's this about monsters named Greeeds?

For a moment I thought this was going post Rainbow Rocks Adagio. Though considering the history of the Core Medals it would've worked as well.

The colorado-borne woman was happy with life, and here at her home state’s aquarium, she felt at home and what’s more, she was respected and working with the animals she loved.

You probably need to capitalize that “c” in Colorado-born. Otherwise an interesting start. I think you definitely have the market cornered for Sentai and Rider stories.

9429516 Yeah, it was kind of a given really, though if you go back even further then recent ones there was a cameo by Kamen Rider in the background of an old crossover between Sentai and Ultraman.

In Slovakia, all green grasshopper-like clones of him marched in lockstep with him, cutting through armies with brutal efficiency and scything down entire legions. Other countries, like Poland and the Czech Republic, were soon to follow. In the Ukraine, fire rained down as this bird took to the skies and fired flaming blasts into enemy encampments, and contained survivors and refugees into small hideaways, with those that escaped this terror hoping and praying to their gods for survival.

I assume the territories these countries now possess since they didn't exist at that time, or even if not in the way they are now.

Suddenly, a bottle containing mayonnaise of all things clocked one of the troops in the head sending him sprawling to the ground even as a coffin was revealed.

“Yeah? Well, you could get eaten. And besides, I view every pinch as a chance!” the jacket-clad man retorted before slipping a ring onto one of his fingers and striking a pose. “Hen… SHIN!”

She didn’t know why, but she always felt a kinship with them, creatures trapped between land and water, never knowing which was their natural home. Like real life mermaids, really.

Adagio smiling as she thought of just getting in the main tank and swimming with the hammerheads was suddenly interrupted from her thoughts by a chirping sound as this small violet bird sorta resembling a cube flew up to her. Perching itself on her shoulder, Adagio smiled as she looked at the little creature.

A few explanations were owed really. A few months back, this team of Super Sentai calling themselves Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger -Yes, it was a mouthful- fought this group known as the Deathgaliens who were intending on using Earth as their latest setting in a long line of sick blood games. In the end, Earth, and another world, ZyuEarth were merged and now both Zyumans -anthropomorphic animals- were living peacefully. Sure, there were still some issues from time to time, teething troubles but that was to be expected.

You know, normal stuff like that.

But then incidents like the eclipse in Japan in 2013 and the Inves invasion a few months later changed her mind, along with about everyone else’s in the world really. She even heard rumors of a game called Kamen Rider Chronicle being developed, allowing you to play as your favorite Kamen Rider.

Oh, yeah, the game is to die for.

“Hey, what the hell do you think you’re doing here?”

Well, that was certainly an interesting start. Really like Adagio, really she grabs me immediately as an interesting character. Looking very forward to what comes next.

Yeah, I didn't really know much about what they would have been named at that point, so I just used the modern names. Plus, I doubt anyone who isn't a history nerd would know the names of those countries 800 years ago either and recognize them.

Zangetsu was just a throw it in for the sake of it. I knew from Gaim's novel -which gives us the origin of his Zangetsu's personal Jimber Arms on the side- he was traveling about so I figured why couldn't he show up? And X, wanted one of the Legendary Riders. I thought about Stronger, but I like to think after his actor passed, his character did as well just so he can finally have his happiness with Tackle. And as a bonus, X's suit was designed for deepsea diving and his main villain was named Neptune. So, symbolism.

Probably not, but with Riders... The events of Ryuki, Faiz, Den-O and Decade/Double -Unless you watched the news relating to any incidents in Fuuto Looks at Eternal- could probably be easily missed. Hell, Ryuki never happened and Decade took place across the mulitverse!

So yeah, lot of Rider events that most people probably wouldn't be aware of. And glad you liked the prologue. Not sure when the first real chapter will be out, but I'll be sure to make it interesting enough.

Sure, but the thing is that you made it sound like there was no monster activity in Japan which is not true since you included the Sentai in this, so that was what I took issue with. Never had problems with the Riders.

Running around the neighborhood in flashes of light, Rainbow tried to get a good look at her prey, but for the most part he was featureless, hidden by a mask. He was, however, almost cat-like in shape and build. Like an actual honest to god cheetah, and when Rainbow eventually managed to rip his mask off his face, turns out he was a cheetah.

This fucking thing... Still, think it is one of the strangest monsters ever.

“Had… Had to…” the zyuman coughed out. His clothes were raggedy like he’d been searching through a rummage store or living on the streets. “Had to find cash!”

Oh... So it was really a zyuthing and not a Yummy...

Well, this universe's Kamen Rider OOO basically. See, what happened and I should probably have explained this earlier, is that OOO didn't happen in this timeline, at least in the year it was supposed to. Now, it's happening in the timeline of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid's events. Certain characters will play a few different roles, such as this chapter implies with Eiji Hino.

Well, in this case, it'd be trips to lakes, but as for the temperature thing, Colorado does experience more than 300 hours of sunlight a year, which is more than even Miami or San Diego.
