having seen a kill count on the movie upgrade, I do not want Shield bearer to meet the same end a certain detective met when she interfered in this that weren't meant for her.
also keep that bi-polar nightmare moon coming, enjoying her relationship with Luna along with her character development.
Personally, I would argue with Nightmare Moon, just because magic is present in every part of the land doesn’t mean it will sudden give every plant the ability to adapt to such stark changes. And even if every plant could just change to not needing sunlight, or subsisting on moonlight. What about the animals and ponies? Suddenly the creatures without night vision are without the advantages of their nocturnal neighbors. The light needed to see would be gone in many parts of the world, and because of that predators could be out and about at anytime hunting their newly impaired prey, suddenly ponies/people hunting/gathering in the day for food is gone. And thats not the biggest issue, the only benefit of having the sun go bye bye is that no one burns under it? I am sure there are more reasons for why the night is better than the day, and therefore why the night needs to stay. But in places where you could be in trouble if you stay out in the sun too long, you would know how to avoid the issues that accompany that. Working in a field in the summer for instance. Not only that but what about deserts? Suddenly it goes from being hot in the day and cold at night, to a fringed and Inhospitable wasteland close to a tundra. The creatures and plants that live there die from the extreme and ever present cold. Honestly, this isn’t even bringing up the fact that sun and moon and stars, ARE ALL THE SAME CELESTIAL LIGHT! God, Nightmare Moon is idiotic and I hope you can make Andromalius talk her out of eternal night. Cause if there is one thing that makes day useful, its the ambient light of your surrounds, that you just don't get even on a clear night.
TL;DR Rant about why eternal night is dumb, don’t take this as criticism, just a rant to why Nightmare is stupid love your story good job bye.

Those are very good points that Nightmare Moon needs to hear. Unfortunately, Andromalius is stuck between bad and worse, plus he still needs to learn to speak up properly when presented with pressure. On top of that, he used to be an average human being, so he simply doesn't know certain things. Nightmare Moon, while she's not stupid, believes she can change the whole world, so there's that.
The sun and moon in this setting are a bit different, so their light isn't exactly the same. Moonlight can exist without sunlight, as impossible as it sounds.
Getting a lot of ultron vibes from nightmare moon

It's probably Dragon Lord Torch size dick
Nightmaremoon ignores something...
The relationship of Luna and Nightmare Moon reminds me of two OCs of my own - one of creator and created - so I can see both the rising and falling for such a situation and how this kind of relationship would bring its own tide of problems and solutions.
While I'm not certain how this story will end, what NM does say is true and noble... her methods and how she sees this one thing as her purpose... it makes her sound more of machine with a self-destined role than a living being simply doing some with passion, thought, or perspective. Built for one thing without having a flexible and adaptable path to use, then your destined for said role but never to change how you want to act upon it, this perfectly describes how Nightmare Moon is portrayed in this story.
