Hmm... Interesting, but if Celestia didn't act way out of character when they first met he's kinda of an asshole. If he truly is the last stallion in equestria then the entire pony species depends on his family jewels (and artificial insemination), if they don't have spells to allow mares impregnate each other, that is. And living in a gilded cage might horrible, but it's not "condemn an entire species to extinction" horrible.
Of course, that goes out of the window if they do have means to avoid said extinction. Will follow, let's see how this goes.

he prolly crunched the numbers and realized that no matter what he does he cannot feasibly give all the mares a foal, he is mortal, there are prolly a few million mares, even if he had sex with 3 per day it would take him over 900 years to have sex with 1 million mares. he will die either of physical exhaustion or old age. and considering he is going to have A LOT of half siblings its going to take careful genealogy monitoring to ensure proper genetic diversity
Interesting, I suppose Celestia will have to give up her crown to Luna or Twilight that that she is the only one taking the fall on this one and that Equestria' government doesn't fall apart because of it. Still, I wonder what was that supposed spell was all about how could it have been possible that all the stallions died during that casting? I wonder if it was an experiment that had gone all wrong or that is was hastily cast because there was a greater pending emergency that forced her to cast it without the proper procedure for it; the spell worked but it had the side effect of killing all the stallions. I wonder if that includes the colts too, like Pound Cake, Button Mash, Rumble and all the others; does is include all mares who were carrying colts still in their wound? Could they all be sterile instead? If so this is a real bummer for the ponies. I wonder how the Stallions died, were they incinerated or more natural like a heart attack?
I would have though that AJ would be in full moaring of the death of her brother Big Mac, unless she saw the sudden death of him as sudden to have a foal because the has the her species survival instincts button activated and she isn't doing it for fun. I also wonder if the the guy also had his musk smell much stronger then it would normally be for regular stallions and makes desperate mares wanting him more?

Like... what if all stallions are transformed humans and the mares just get off to converting them to RGRE while they mentally resist, but then they meet a new stallion who's all for being wimpy and shy?
What if RGRE but the new man/stallion is COMPLETELY asexual and can't feel sex at all?
What if RGRE but the new guy in town is leaps and bounds stronger, faster, etc than all the mares?
What if we DON'T find out next time on DBZ?

Can't help but agree. I haven't even started reading, and I am already getting a bad feeling just looking at the description and the comments.
Honestly, the writer should rewrite the story (especially now, since it is only one chapter long, so not as much work would have been wasted as would be if he continued on and- mid story- decided to rewrite the whole thing.), do it nearly the same, but instead of all the stallions dead, either-
All the stallions being-
•Sterilized
•Genderswapped (a mass R63)
•Drained of all sexual desire (not the same thing as them all being sterilized. Where that would remove all the ability to reproduce, even if they wanted to, this would be more like being eternally 'too tired' for sex.)
Or-
•The spell basically being the equivalent of a love potion being poured in every mare's drink, targeting them all, and making it where they all desire one specific pony, unsatisfied with anypony else.
Each of those would result in the females, as they are left more and more unsatisfied, turning to the only 'pony' whom actually could satisfy them, essentially having the same result, but without as... dark of a premise.

If so, the solution is simple, reverse the spell and cast it on some females to turn them into males til you get an effective breeding population. After all if you can turn a human into a stallion you can turn a mare into a stallion. Changing someone's species is a hell of a lot more complicated than changing genders after all.

What? No. It's hinted at, but since everyone keeps on misinterpreting this, I'll state it for clarity.
The stallions are not dead. Rather, Celestia, an attempt to find other life from ponies, accidentally causes a spell that exchanges all the stations for one human.
This human turning into a stallion and vice verse.

If I may, I wouldn't make assumption until you had the facts of the case. Best to ask for confirmation before stating something as true. This can easily lead to misunderstanding and further misinterpretation. Not only that, to state fixes and changes to a problem you know nothing of is also a leap in logic and is more personal projection than an actual critique. True... though in my defense, everyone else was saying all the stallions were dead, and I had literally nothing saying otherwise. Still you have a point. Probably should read a story before I say anything. But I will have to disagree with you on the bit about not stating solutions to problems I know practically nothing about. Even though I may not know nearly as much as the experts, I find it better to say what I feel might need said, because- as such- I might mention something the experts have overlooked.

1) Nah, you don't have to read the story. I would just ask for confirmation before making the assumption, and if you wanted to continue to still make your point, saying: "Working under the assumption that all stallions are dead, I feel these would have..."
2) Relax. There are no experts on the sites, or Celestia forbid, whatever the fuck they're doing on this site. Most of us are amateurs here. My issue wasn't with your opinion, which seems decent to the problem you thought this story has, but rather, with the leap in logic. Always feel free to express yourself, but I would work from a strong base. Which is to say, it's hard to prescribe a solution if you are unaware of what the problem is.
Other than that, your suggestions in themselves were quite good to the perceived problem, so you should feel good about that! May make for a decent set-up for another fic.
