During the Ponyville Live Entertainment Festival, Discord voices his intentions of performing stand-up comedy on the stage, as he is the funniest guy in Ponyville. Pinkie Pie overhears this and objects, as she is the funniest mare in Ponyville. The two agree to a comedians' duel, in which whoever can make the audience laugh the hardest wins the title of Funniest In Ponyville. It doesn't exactly go according to plan.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. In my opinion, it's not one of my better works, just something I hacked out in three days on a deadline. The funniest part of this fic is the fact that it managed to win a writing contest by default.

Yeah, that is pretty funny
I thought Discord's ONE joke was actually kinda funny, while the other was decent! Pinkie's rambling wasn't exactly funny. (And yet they laughed... (Eyebrow narrow)) Her other two jokes were rather decent as well though! In all honesty, they should have tied IMO, but eh, I can't do anything.
