This story is a sequel to Xcom: Alien Unknown
Dinky and her new friends enjoy every minute of their friendship to the fullest. Yet, once again they land on Earth, having to face a new danger with their friend Fletcher.
A danger foreign to them and mostly humanity.
Nice chapter to begin the sequel with!

Feel free to give the stories leading to this a try too. And I know you, you're the trotting dead guy
9567853
Yeah... have written. Some other stories... just posted a new chapter for MLP Harmony fallen.
9567881
I've seen them. If you don't mind me telling
Tis story will later have a familiar event as your trotting dead
9567890
Ooh... looking forward to that... ps... Will be updating the trotting dead soon... reworking the up coming chapters and chapter three and four.
9567892
Okay. Eager to see it. But I'll hunt yo if anything happens to Dinky.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story, and the stories that led to it
9567897
Will do... (Oh... poor, poor Dinky)
9567911
Here, and in the stories before this, she has to deal with similar things as in your story, and suffers too
9567913
We are mean to ponies... lol
9567915
I wouldn't say that. SHE's actually very brave here
9567918
I see
9567972
And proactive
9568005
Nice

The children took deep breaths, realizing he was right. “O-okay…How are we going to Isenstadt?” Dinky asked
You might want to read over your chapter again.

I do when i have time. That's the issue when its so long.
a good sequel and I have to say is the fic with more references of all your fics
with the sniper elite, battlefield 1 (the battle in the mountains) and battlefield 5 (when tim gets nervous with the advance of the allies and asks or rather order the rest of the squad to take the 3 children out of the city), spec ops the line (which identifies the 3 that you put in, I practically did not expect that there was a reference of the spec ops the line), "saving the Rayan soldier" (which blaur was lucky that the box stopped the bullet a bit) call of duty ww2 during the battle of the hotel, ghost buster, zombie army (which I say sniper elite zombies mode on my point of view ), the movie "FURY" with tank convoy and the fight angaist the tiger tank with the two shermans and I do not remember that another reference catches since I practically took 2 or 3 days to complete reading this fic
I liked the scene of the minefield, what a start for fletcher, the part of the POW was very similar to the previous fic "the pinto of ardenes" with the route of the guards and escape method
and part of chapter 10 gave me a lot of laughter just like the minefield scene in the chapter of "the legend returns"
by the time the stuka attacked the plane where fletcher, dinky, blau, katja and the others were going, I didn't expect at all that the pilot was technically james james was close to killing them if William and Christopher had not acted quickly
by the time the roads changed to Wolfenstein it was a surprise even when the Deathshead transformed dinky, katja and blaur into war machines and the dream referring to the zombie army triology, which was quite interesting as that chapter has been advancing, rather the 2 chapters and when fletcher wakes up after having the same sequence as Captain Walker in spec ops the line (which I say you did well to fit in the story, I even read that sequence for the second time with the song " Truth Revealed "of the spec ops the line )
the final battle I have to say that it was quite interesting in what konrad and his squad were in the middle to block the line of sight but acting as if they were hostile against BJ, a good fight that without support of the konrad squad practically BJ would be done smithereens
and the 3 SS soldiers using a tiger against their own to gain time for the protagonists to get out of there was quite surprising and the denis being forced to join the SS and then help konrad and his squad, fletcher, BJ and the 3 children
at the beginning of chapter 17 by the time the allied soldiers arrive where fletcher practically happens the same as where there are two different endings in the game which just the soldiers say almost the same, I tell the truth when I was surprised by those 3 references of the spec ops the line
and one thing, the madness chapter ... fulfills its name with what happens in that chapter
and before I forget it, the music selection was pretty good, even more for the end

Glad to hear it. I originally had this story planned ass far as 2016/17 but never came to do it, so the prison in the Ardennes story was sort of practice for the prison scene here
The scene where the SS attacks out of the fire, that's from the 2013 Stalingrad movie.
James, yes, it shows how honorable he is, and you saw it's based on a real event
Dennis, you see, there were forced conscripts into the SS, and he's one of them, guys who never wanted this.
And chapter 20 has also a few references.
9779382
I see, the SS crossing the wall of fire to continue fighting and practically trying to burn the Allied soldiers with their bodies is quite epic I have to admit and surprise, and if when I read the part of the attack of the stuka and escorted them later I It seemed familiar since I had heard that story translated in Spanish about 2 or 3 years ago I think I remember and that of denis being forced to be of the SS, I never knew about that, but at the same time it seemed somewhat logical for the fact that many members of the SS had died throughout history more during the battle in the mountains
9780249
Indeed. It actually true that not all members of the SS were really nazis, I read once about that some were forcefully recruited, but I can't remember where.
The story has also a Model of Honor and a band of brothers reference
9780251
I think that these references go along with the soundtrack that you put in certain parts of the first chapters at least in the medal of honor section, but from the brother of arms I think I didn't see any
9780259
You are correct, it's Medal of Honor and Band of Brothers. And there's also a indirect Star Wars reference
9780264
ok, although if I had no idea that there was a reference to starwars there, well I guess you say it is indirect maybe I did not see it, for my part, maybe I will find them on the day I will read it again or something similar
9780272
If you really wanna know
The way Fletcher fights his "counterpart" in the dream is based on Star Wars the Force Unleashed
