:fluttercry: This... this was so beautiful you done so many good stories but this one tops them all so i'm gonna say Three cheers for the Blue EM2! hip hip...

So, may I ask what inspired you to write this? I usually find Scootaloo's aunts to be nice people... well, ponies.

This story was inspired by 'Silent Night', 'Tainted Colors', and 'Setting of the Peaceful Sun'. I had seen many different versions of the Scootadopt narrative, and fancied doing something different.

The story was a reaction to 'Anon-a-Miss: a Wrinkle in Time', or as I prefer to call it, 'Unnecesary Scootabuse'.

Scootaloo’s life had changed for the better, and all it had taken...was a Dash of Love.

Dawww <3

It should be in your PM.

That was awesome! Thanks for writing this- you think you could do a sequel?

You know, I think I may, just to show how they are getting on. Thanks for commenting, I thought this had been forgotten.

I quite enjoyed this story. It deserves some more views.

In my stories, I use Collins as Scootaloo's surname. I wrote this before The Last Crusade aired, and as her parents had not been introduced at that time, I had to make a surname up.

Will there be a sequel to this

I cannot guarantee it.

It's good, but also sad as I consider Holiday and Lofty very nice individuals. I guess those are the only ones you can use. I just hate to think that they were cruel to scootaloo. I know it's just a story. I'm trying to come up with my own idea to have Holiday and Lofty adopt Scootaloo.

When I wrote this I knew very little about the characters (the comics aren't available where I live, and Lofty and Holliday didn't appear in the show proper until Season 9).

“In what world is that sort of behaviour justified?” Rainbow asked. “People who resort to violence so easily should not be allowed to raise children.”

-_- say that to my parents.

Hehe, thank you, and, great story!

In one such home, 17 Cloudsdale Drive, Rainbow Dash sat at the window watching the snow, holding a cup of cocoa in her hand. She loved Christmas-who didn’t? -as the world was just so happy at that time of year. The last few days had been those of nonstop fun with her friends, as they’d had a series of slumber parties over each other’s houses. She felt she was truly lucky to have friends like hers, and it seemed nothing could break them apart. OK, there had been Sunset Shimmer, but that was now a long time in the past, and she was friends with them now. Right now, she started humming an old Christmas Carol. Being a Christian, she knew practically all the tunes off by heart, and there was nothing better than the good old Carol Services. Canterlot was having its own tomorrow, and she would be performing alongside her friends in an acapella rendition of ‘I Saw Three Ships’, and not the Freudian version!

I like how you mention there's a cloudsdale on earth. But is probably the name of a neighborhood in Canterlot City. :ajsmug:

“Can I come in?” Scootaloo replied, in a raspy voice. She then fell forward onto the ground, but Rainbow caught her.

This can't be good! :twilightoops:

“It’s a relief to see you are safe,” Rainbow smiled. But the smile vanished. “What on Earth were you doing out there in the middle of a snowstorm without proper winter clothing? You could’ve frozen to death!”

froze*

There was no way she could have been bruised in that way from falling, but again it was clear Scootaloo didn’t want to talk about it.

Something ain't right here, and I can already tell it won't be good. :fluttershysad:

“My p-parents are dead!” Scootaloo answered weakly, still sobbing into Rainbow’s jumper. “So, please don’t send me back!”

:pinkiegasp:

https://m.

For that year, the old saying was true; that the best presents of all are the ones we least expect.

Yep.
