Oh, I believe if you look around you'll find some clues.
At long last! I'm terribly, dreadfully sorry for the wait, and I don't intend to create such a long one again. I have no excuse; I simply didn't do any writing. However, this story will have a conclusion yet!
Fun fact: this is the first chapter of this story not published on the sixth of a month. To be honest, I considered delaying until the sixth of February to publish, for that reason alone. But that would be silly.
In any case, I'll do my best to get the last two chapters out ASAP.
Also, if this chapter seems kinda odd, it probably has something to do with me understanding Rarity much less than the others in the Mane 6.

(P.S.- Fun fact--this chapter originally ended after "'Yes… Yes, you are, my little pony…' Princess Celestia said, walking to Twilight and putting a wing over her. 'You’re here, Twilight. You’re with me. It will all be all right.'" But then I started writing the next chapter, and the beginning just seemed to go better on the end of this, so I stuck it here.)

Judging from her previous reactions, I believe Twilight is dangerously close to severe depression.

What a depressing story to read so far. But with such a title, what do you expect? I actually fear what will happen to Twilight now...seeing as she wields a lot of power and has a dragon that she was able to grow like it was nothing. If the poor mares sanity slips, maybe she forces her friends to return: A probably braindead Applejack due to coma. A zombie-version of Rainbow Dash. A party-mare named Pinkie who wants nothing to do with parties anymore. A snobbish turning Rarity, seemingly caring less and less for her friends. And Fluttershy, bursting with rage and probably attacking anything that arises her ire.
Sounds like a real horror-scenario to me, if you ask me. Of course, this is all speculation. But at the rate, this fic is going on...
...I wonder how Spike reacts to all of this.

(P.S.-*In case you couldn't tell, I'm planning on writing a sequel to this story. The idea came to me after...Rarity's chapter, I think? Getting to write the sequel to this was actually one of my main motivating factors for finishing this nonsense. The sequel will be better-planned (read: planned at all), better written (I hope!) and, if I'm really good, actually updated more than once a month! And don't worry yourselves about checking for it (if you care), I'll update this story with an Epilogue or something when I'm ready to begin. Which I hope is soon. And not Journcy-time (which is rather similar to Valve-time) soon, like, real-people soon. *looks up* Ooh, that awkward moment when the P.S. is longer than the actual post. Collision Course is an alternate universe story that has a brisk pace but is firmly in the sad category of FIMfic. The story explores canon episodes through a Butterfly Effect lens, where an error in judgement by one of the main characters leads to tragic and eventually catastrophic consequences for all the rest as well as for Equestria itself. It is quite well written and safe for ponies of all ages.
