Now that I've finished reading: Why does the "happy" ending make me cry when the "sad" one doesn't? Good story.

These kinds of fics used to have a fucking huge impact on me.... making me sob like a little bitch for minutes at a time.... now i feel shitty for not being as sad about these anymore.

I'm not sure what to think of this. One we have Twilight either dying or just happy that Spike came to see her in the hospital. Why is it that the most powerful unicorn in Equestria is also one of the most unstable mares there is?
