I don't normally go for clop but this has three of my favourite characters so I'll read.
Good story
That was a hot mess. The good kind. Nice touch crafting a story around the panels of the original comic. I wish the tumblr had at least finished its second story before it died. And nice twist to the shark scene, getting vanished by an ancient artifact is indeed more effective than just throwing something at it like in the comic

The comic did have some panels showcasing the shark going after Daring deep in the water, with a bright light emanating from the artifact... and then the comic cut to the raft, with Daring surfacing perfectly fine (and also naked) moments later.
I have no idea what was actually happening. So I had the artifact deus ex machina the problem away and tried to insert some foreshadowing in chapter 1 to justify it.
Fun fact: There was a point where I considered the artifact being powered by nudity, so instead of triggering off of Daring’s sacrifice, it would save her life in exchange for her last bit of clothing.
This was a weird project.
