Today I got a new book about negative impulses from Princess Celestia! I'm really excited to read it! it looks really good, even though everypony else gets a bad feeling when they look at it. I'm going to read it tomorrow.

I am honestly confused as to why Celestia thought giving Twilight the book in the first place was a good idea.

Celestia thought Twilight could somehow get rid of the curse, hoping that it wouldn't hurt anypony again. however, as the timeline of the story goes on, she realizes that doing that was a bad idea, which the whole point of the trip to Canterlot, to get the book back. she never does get it back, however, because Twilight assures her that everything is fine and Celestia trusts her former pupil's decision to read the book.
