I used to enjoy smoking. After every tough shift, I'd light a Newport and enjoy the masculine feeling of another shift completed and in the past, flavored with the sweet taste of tobacco. But after seeing a close friend pass away from advanced pancreatic cancer, I gave it up. I didn't want to die like that. After seven years of fighting the urge to light up, it was all for nought.
