Blades are drawn and passions ignite when Twilight the Student catches Lady Rarity stealing a book from the Forbidden Archives.

A spiritual successor to Change of Engagement.

Thanks to ThePoneDrome for making my photo cover art not terrible.

I love the quote from Les Miserables you made here.
I hear he claimed his sister's child was close to death, and the courts gave him a nineteen-year sentence for the crime."

Will there be a sequel?

This is a really awesome idea, i would greatly enjoy reading more about it

This demands a sequel!!! Its well written and engaging, and I was both awed and amused by it. :pinkiehappy:

Who knew that swordfighting could be so romantic?

Also:

Platinum's heated voice caressed Twilight's ears like molten silk

"molten silk," now there is a lovely pair of words. I like you.

Really loved this fic even if its only a one-shot I would love it if you gave it a few extra chapters anyway I love it and i think its amazing

i hope in there next fight rarity gets her flank handed too her badly, her work is a disgrace to fencing.

Is there more to this??

Great job on creating/hinting at the setting. The chapter gives just enough hints at the society to be intriguing, without giving away much of anything definite.
Also, beatiful action and banter :pinkiehappy:
I know this is likely just a one-shot, and it certainly does not NEED any more than is already there, but I'd definitely be interested in reading the s1 opening as it unfolds in this setting.

Beautiful one-shot.

Are there any plans on expanding the setting and story?

There must be a sequel... too good not to be continued!!!

This is good, and flirting with swordplay is a good idea well-executed. But it's not complete in any way. It's chapter 1 of a book.

The fact that this does not have a sequel is a crime greater than book-thievery!
