The problem with that, for me, is that sometimes there's a long, LONG stretch of time between them, IRL or in context to the fic.
Also, there can be rather striking differences in kinks, characters, or scenarios with the installments.
So, for the most part, I write individual, interconnected pieces. Just makes more sense to me to do that, as opposed to having one giga-fic with a jumblefuck of characters and wildly varying kinks/sexual situations.
Is it ideal? Eh, depends on your opinion, but it works for me.
All that being said, I've considered making folders on my profile to separate these different series.
