There's more to come. I'll add another chapter to this later. This is actually based on a long since deleted story on this site, so I have (sort of) resurrected it. I was inspired to do it having seen MLP crossed over with TTTE and thinking, what if the characters were the engines?

Holy War is actually one the earliest memories of a steam engine I have. It's close to my heart as a result.
I honestly thought for Mainline, Dash would be Mallard. After all, Speed with style? AJ wouldve been Scotsman class, both Loco and Train, given the premier long haul?
Confused the heck out of me a couple year back when I looked up Doncaster to Edinburg and it said the Flying Scotsman service. Didnt realise the Loco was named after the train.

That is indeed true. The express service takes its own name from the Royal Scotch, an early London-Edinburgh express service.

I noticed that another story made RD a Peppercorn A2, and I decided to do loco classes never before seen. This is why AJ is an 04; its a heavy freight design, which suits her hard working nature perfectly. And the Spam Cans were surprisingly nippy!

I based her on Sir Handel, but pushed her to extremes. At least Sir Handle could justify his actions; he was still very upset about the Mid-Sodor closing (and he would still have thought at this point that Duke was dead). Diamond, on the other hand, is just mean because she looks down on unnamed engines. I did sneak in Crusaders of the Lost Mark though, God only knows you can only have 1 insufferable brat in a story.
