Phoenix Flight

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” – Confucius (“Unless, of course, all your readers die of old age before you’re done.” — Me.)

The Mare in the Moon. Nearly every soul has gazed upon her, but few know who she was. Even fewer know her story, and those she left behind.

They have both made mistakes. They both have regrets. They are farther from each other than ever before...

...but closer than one might think.

This was a great short story you wrote.

You're very welcome.

I didn’t deserve to be closer to Luna.

Ah, I can see where you got confused. She didn’t want to fly because she didn’t want to get closer to the moon, and by proxy, Luna.

Thanks, but no confusion. I was just savoring the emotion.

Ahh... glad you enjoyed it then.
