I've only ever found one other story this short that made me feel as quickly as this one did.. congrats, on writing something truly special.
There just enough packed into 1k words to grasp exactly what's going on and have a genuine daaaaamn reaction once you get to the last scene. Very nice!

Oh wow I love the structure of this story. I love the perspective of the changeling and the repetition of the scenes. Really makes you think about how a changeling does act in a society.
This is dark but damn is it so fascinating. A like for sure!
