Egggh .... it was ooooook .. it sounded like in the begining that the staff was just a powerful item that controlled the dragons which was fine .... but then at the end you made it sound like it had a will of it's own and it turned subservient.... since it appears to have a will it following anyone other then the dragon lords sounds weird... you figure it would only listen to a worthy weilder .... he stole it he didn't win it by trial like ember did or by combat from a challenge. Like say grabbing a element and making it listen to another who isn't the bearer is pointless their just ignored. Dont bring up sunset ...a 21 year old unicorn getting the element to work were a 10000 year old alicorn couldn't screams inconsistency it's more feasible to believe the element wanted her dark side exposed by drawing it out so princess twilight could cleanse her. like i said it wasn't bad but I could only give it a 5 outta 10.

Something this story doesn't really talk about.

The Dragons literally only have one generation left until their race either goes extinct or gets horribly inbred.

Every dragon is now related to one dude.

Inbreeding will now cripple their species, legitimately.

Actually the Dragon race has hope, mainly on the Dragon eggs already laid containing male juveniles before the transformation happened and some very young males who possibly could not have produced offspring for the takeover plans of the unnamed male Dragon and thus not transformed.

Now the black/grey Dragon could comeback but Ember is now under 24 hour observation with the element's and some Princesses including a very unhappy Discord making sure to pay that Dragon a visit the monment he makes a appearance.

Any males that are found will be placed in maximum protection under Princess Twilight Sparkle supervision since she has first hand experience raising a baby Dragon.
