It was a slow day in the Friendship Palace, and Twilight and her friends were getting tired of having nothing to do. But then, in walks Spike, and as the mares see him just doing what he loves on his day off, they come to realise that, quite frankly, there are things they could be doing right now.

short and sweet. I like it a lot.

Brought a smile upon my face, because characters I like just being happy and doing what they like.

I like this story, no big conflict, no villain, just a short sweet fluff-fic, good job sir or Madam

Perfect fluff. Loved it.

:moustache: Cucumbers are for eating!
:duck: I'll save some for you.
:twilightoops: Don't they get all wrinkly and pruney ?
:raritywink: Only my hooves my dear, Only my hooves.
:facehoof: So much floof
:trollestia: As usual I did absolutely nothing
:moustache: That's how you do it!
:twilightoops:

This is just sweet! I can't describe it any other way. Just sweet! Here, have a happy Twilight:

"I have no idea! I never have known, and I probably never will know! But you know what, darling? I don't really care! Why? Because I find it a fun thing to do, so henceforth, I shall do it!"

They're supposed to reduce eye puffiness. Rarity even says so in the sleepover episode in Season 1, so this is a little out of character for her, but I'm having fun reading this story, so who cares?

Aw, I can't help it! This was so cute and sweet! It's just a shame Starlight didn't get to make an appearance. She must be already doing something that she likes, such as studying magic.

9059371 I actually thought that was funny. :rainbowlaugh:

Really nice story!

Nothing beats a little friendship lesson :D Makes me think a lot of that one episode. And this, just like that one, is a very good reminder that it's okay to do this kind of thing.

... Even if it is hard to push through guilty feelings about doing it...

After the others had left the room his spines gave off a pulse of green and the friendship map glowed a little before shutting off.

Spike chuckled a bit, "I agree they do need some time off." He laid over in his throne, throwing his legs over the arm of the seat giving his eyes a roll. "And being stared at can be annoying as well.

Nice job! Being adults is hard and sometimes a youthful reminder to do something fun is just what you need!:moustache: Now, excuse me while I do some gaming!:pinkiehappy:

Perhaps, but we can always say she was guessing when she said that and coincidentally got it right. Unlikely, I know, but an amusing possibility.

Anyway, fun story. There were one or two points where the prose was a little off, but overall it was pretty decent and I liked the concept and thought it was executed fairly well.

And it did kind of inspire me a little to do the same as the Mane Six here, so I thank you for that.

A good little fic. Nicely done, especially for your first foray into the field.

I like this as a criticism of those who don't like slice of life or fluff stories. Sometimes you just need to read an uncomplicated plot to remind yourself that sometimes simple is good. It's a trap many detailed or long running stories fall into. Every second of a story doesn't need to have some massively important thing going on overtly or covertly. There are in fact days when nothing of interest happens and it is okay to acknowledge those times by remembering how to relax.

As always the sensible one comes to the rescue, good one Spike! :moustache:

Sweet story there, I love it!
