On the day that Dio Brando came into Jonathan Joestar's life to make it a living hell, so too did a young woman, nicknamed Twilight Sparkle, who would become like a sister to Jonathan. Acting as the dutiful sister she was, Twilight worked to prevent Dio from ruining Jonathan's life.

And as time goes on for the Joestar family, it becomes clear that Twilight is but the first of several girls to aid the people given the nickname... Of Jojo.

Nice.

I take it you liked my intro to this grand project, then?

This seems promising. I wonder how altered events in this timeline will get from the original.

Somehow, Jotaro paired up with Pinkie scares me.

9027225
Then good news, that's not the pairing I'm going with.

I'm sorry, I've got to revoke this. This is just the show, but with pony names partly swapped into the roles. This falls under the category of stories you didn't write; it's fine to use Jojo for inspiration, but you can't just straight-up copy the show's entire plotline.

This looks good so far. Please continue.

It’s pretty cool how Twilight is Jonathan’s guardian angel in all but name. I hope she lives long enough to meet Joseph.

9027610
Except it's not, Twilight does not occupy a pre-existing role, heck the concept of stands wasn't even introduced originally until part 3.

Not to mention her presence has changed the story a little bit so far such as Twilight foiling many of Dio's attempts to ruin Jonathan's life.

Author's Note:

Things will really start to change come next chapter. For starters, I plan on giving Twilight a love interest. Not Jonathan, obviously, since he already has Erina. But it is a male member of the cast. See if you can guess who it is.

No f***ing way. Are you seriously putting Twilight in a romantic relationship with SPEEDWAGON?! Glorious.

Really enjoying this. So far I'd say it's turning out better than your Saints Row story which, while pretty good, often falls into the problem of feeling more like a playthrough than a story.

Definitely interested in seeing who you end up pairing Twilight with.

9029203
Hey, you guessed it! Have a cupcake.:pinkiehappy:

Speedwagon withdraws coolly... to Twilight!? I’ve read a crossover where Fluttershy’s distantly related to him.

9029203
Holy crap! That's who I guessed! OH MY GOD!!! What if they have a kid!?

Honestly had to look her up cause I had no clue who Enya was haha.

Huh. Interesting idea to bring a character from seasons later into things now.

The only problem I have with this story so far is that Twilight's involvement hasn't changed the major events. Certainly not enough to make a significant difference. While she did thwart Dio's attempt to completely ruin Jonathan's childhood, The events on Ogre Street are still unchanged besides Speedwagon falling in love with Twilight, and George still dies.

9031103
Okay first, George isn't dead yet (that happens next chapter). Second, there will be more significant changes later on. Some things do have to stay the same for obvious reasons.

First off, about time somepony did a crossover with this series. Secondly, and most importantly. if we don't an Ora! Ora! Ora! at least once in this.

That would be sad.

9031151
I hope so.

As for certain things having to be the same, I guess you're right.

9031430
Oh the Oras will be coming (and the Doras, and the Mudas, and the Aris, you get the idea). But they won't start until many chapters in, when Stands start becoming far more prominent.

Enyaba looks like that one woman who gave Old Joseph and Avdol trouble.

If this goes by canon, Jonathan’s prolly going to meet with Zeppeli. Twilight’s presence alone pretty much confirms that Hamon and Stands can work and Love is in Bloom’s appearance reminds me somewhat of Gold Experience and Stone Free.

I would be very surprised if Twilight lived long enough to the end of Battle Tendency.

9031922
That's a hundred years after Part One. This is her back in the late 19th century, when she was still a young woman. Look up her picture from the OVA, and you'll get an idea of what she was meant to look like here in the past.

9031933
You've got a good idea about Twilight's Stand, but Gold Experience and Stone Free do have visible mouths while Love is in Bloom does not. It's actually meant to invoke an image of alicorn Twilight in a humanoid form.

Also I'll say this. Love is in Bloom was created for one purpose... To prevent a series of deaths that the plot doesn't need to move forward (as in the plot can still work even if these people live).

Also, of course Hamon and Stands can work. Joseph Joestar proved that long before I created this fimfic.

9031987 True, but Joseph stopped using Hamon after Part 2 because of him obtaining Hermit Purple. From what I remember of Hamon, its users stay younger and live longer, which explains why Lisa Lisa is what she is despite not looking like an old lady. SO, since Twilight is also a Hamon user, she’s also smart enough to be able to use Hamon while somehow doing everything else.

9032666
Actually, no, he didn't. If you carefully observe the fight between him and Empress, you'll see he was using a bit of Hamon during the fight. He also uses it as part of his fighting style in the Jojo video game Eyes of Heaven.

Also, of course Twilight is smart. It may be a blatantly alternate universe Twilight, but I DO strive to make her personality as similar to the original Twilight Sparkle as I can.

Hey, I'm just wondering, but did you take inspiration for Love is in Bloom's powers from Gold Experience?

To clarify, the secondary ability of Gold Experience is that every living thing it makes out of inanimate objects is booby trapped with a passive misfortune deflection ability, making it so that if anyone tries to harm one of Gold Experience's creations, the created creature will be unharmed while the attacker will receive the full force of their own attack in the exact same way that the creature would've received it. For instance, if you tried to stomp on an ant that was made by Gold Experience, the ant would remain unharmed while you would suddenly feel like another person stomped their foot into your back.

9032773
I wasn't even thinking of Gold Experience when I developed Love is in Bloom's powers. Besides, there's a major difference. Gold Experience can only reflect damage done to creatures it creates. Love is in Bloom can reflect damage to anything living, but cannot create life. The reflection is also more like a mirror reflecting light. Take your example of Gold Experience. If Twilight saw someone trying to step on an actual ant and used Love is in Bloom, instead of feeling like someone was stepping on them like they stepped on the ant, they'd feel like they stepped on a spike. Also, Giorno doesn't need to see someone attacking his creations for Gold Experience to work, while Twilight can only use Love is in Bloom on a target she can see.

Though now that you bring up the similarities, I should mention that other Stands I'll be creating later down the line will also have similar powers similar to preexisting ones, but with various differences. For example, one Stand I have in mind can generate and control fire like Magician's Red. But unlike Magician's Red, it goes more for precision than power (it could, for example, deal with Tower of Grey in an enclosed space like the plane without collateral damage whereas Magician's Red ran the risk of burning everyone else on the plane). And it can turn its Stand user into living fire, something Magician's Red can't do with Avdol.

9032704 I noticed that bit with the Empress fight. That was admittedly one of my favorite scenes of Stardust Crusaders.

9032844

Gold Experience can only reflect damage done to creatures it creates. Love is in Bloom can reflect damage to anything living,

That's not the point. The point is that the secondary feature of Gold Experience's powers is that reflect damage ability it gives to its creations. Same as Love is in Bloom. The only difference is what is given the ability. Love is in Bloom just gives it to whatever living thing the user sees. That's the only difference.

Take your example of Gold Experience. If Twilight saw someone trying to step on an actual ant and used Love is in Bloom, instead of feeling like someone was stepping on them like they stepped on the ant, they'd feel like they stepped on a spike.

Okay, you're right. That is different. Although still similar since it's damage dealt to the attacker instead of the thing being attacked. Just that instead of recieving one to one damage, it's just enough to make the attacker recoil from what they attacked.

Also, Giorno doesn't need to see someone attacking his creations for Gold Experience to work, while Twilight can only use Love is in Bloom on a target she can see.

Yeah, I know. I did specifically say "booby trapped" as in the effect is set up to happen any time the creature is attacked instead of activating it in that moment, like with Love is in Bloom.

Why not go even further with the differences and have the stand create and control a different element altogether? Such as lightning?

I get the feeling that you were offended by my last comment. If so, I did not mean to. When I said inspired, I meant that I thought you might have looked at the reflect ability that Gold Experience gives his creations and decided to use a different version of that as the main power for Love is in Bloom. Make no mistake, when I said that you took inspiration from something, I did not mean that you stole an idea. Just that seeing one of Gold Experience's abilities might've given you the idea for your own version of that ability. That's all.

9033441
It's fine, and I already had a lightning-based Stand that shows up in the same part.

I think you should since it would likely change certain events and give even more significance to Twilight's involvement. In the story.

question will this be like that other crossover fanfic? Twilight is with Jonathan, Pinkie is with Joseph, Rainbow Dash is with Jotaro, Rarity is with Josuke and Applejack pairs up with Jolyne?

9038924
No, there will be different team-ups here. Plus, if a Jojo already has a love interest, that MLP character won't hook up with him.

9039164
sorry i didn't mean to imply they are pairing up in a romantic sense XD But yeah there was another crossover similar premise to you but different in that story a third party entity separated and transported the mane 6 into jojo universe. Unlike yours Twilight only knows Hamon .

Didn't this story use to have a sex tag?

9044378
Uh... I don't remember. But if it did I know why I would remove it, because there's going to be very little references to sex.

Yeah, knowing Jonathan, he won’t tell Erina. It’s practically a custom of all shonen protagonists to never tell their love interests about the danger and adventure they go through.

I wonder how Ceasar will act now that he won't have anything to blame the Jostars for.

So far, William’s death has been averted, but there’s still Jonathan’s wedding night in the boat!

You've certainly managed to make part 1 more interesting over all.

Yay!!!! Now I can finally see what an older Jonathan Joestar looks like.

Eh....I figured that it would be Rainbow Dash with Joseph instead.

By the way, Isn't kinda obvious that this version of Applejack is the supposed granddaughter of this version of Twilight? At least, that's what it looks like to me. How has Jackie not made the connection yet?

9055765 It makes some sense after all. Though Twilight and Speedwagon have a somewhat unconventional marriage, they still managed to make it work and somehow had money to form an orchard despite having an oil empire. I just realized that Smokey is significantly younger than Applejack.

I expected pinkie. And AJ's Stand to be called Kick About.

9055798
Okay, but that doesn't answer my question of why Applejack hasn't figured out that she's related to Speedwagon yet.

9055939
Because she's not. Whatever made you think she was?
