No. Not really. There are some minor changes to dialogue to make the teen version publishable under that rating and, obviously, sex scenes are removed from that one. I personally enjoy the mature version more because I think the ability of the characters to get a lot more racier with their talk makes for better humor.
I would love to read this version of the story...but I do not read pony-form clop in any form. It's just a rule for me, because that's part of things I tried to wrap my head around in the past but couldn't.
If only this version were anthro...

Except some storylines for clop only really work in the Equestria setting, and doesn't work with the EqG characters. That's why I like anthro stories that give a more humanoid shape to the ponies while still having it be Equestria.
The story sounds a lot like a clop-rated sendup to "The Mean Six."
I wonder if Chrysalis would even consider admitting that the cloned, evil Twilight fought her to a standstill more easily than the original ever did.

I think pre-alicorn Twilight also was able to blast her in the comics. Chrysalis and the changelings are wildly inconsistent. The show/comic creators seemingly don't care to keep track of power levels or anything; the villains are stronger or the heroes are weaker whenever violence would be too obvious an answer.

If I recall correctly, pre-alicorn Twilight was only able because she was channeling a rare cosmological event. Similar to the Avatar series, a comet was passing nearby, and it amplified power. So when she used that borrowed power, she blasted a chunk of Chrysalis' castle away. What's funny about the next panel is that while everyone is astonished at Twilight's power, Chrysalis' expression is openly admiring.
Considering she offered to let everyone go if Twilight stayed and learned from her as Chrysalis' new pupil, it's probably fair to say there was a certain amount of attraction there, even if the comic was soft-pedaling it. A penchant for pure destructive power would probably draw Chrysalis like a moth to a flame. Which makes it even more surprising that clopfic Chrysalis isn't trying to seduce Twilight.

All magical creatures were being amped by the comet in that comic Chrysalis included. So it was Comet boosted Twilight versus Comet boosted Chrysalis. Twilight won when the rest of the Mane 6 and CMC started cheering her on. It was left ambiguous as to whether the "Magic of Friendship," that enabled her to win was just a confidence boost or a literal power up.
The tsundere is STRONG in this one!

The title makes it sound like one of those fetish stories with the possible kidnapping and the dark tag and the torture and rape and stockholm syndrome. All things that make me hate those stories with a passion. The description says it's not that, though, so I'll put it in my 'read later' tab.
