a nighttime walk by the river in a small town where every streetlamp is different. a town where nothing ever happens and everypony likes it that way.

Thank you for sharing this story with me, and with all of us. I'm... not exactly the most attentive reader, and I do bad with things that don't involve a lot of dialogue, and in the last year or so I've had a hard time focusing on stories in general. But when I finished my first read(/skim??) through of it, I immediately knew I had to dig in further, so I re-read the thing 4 or 5 times, just sinking my teeth into the prose, the beautiful prose. I appreciate the conversation we had about it, and I'm really glad to see it up here.
